When a spoiled child doesn't get their way they tend to stomp the feet and whine. This is called a temper trantrum. This type of behavior is not even acceptable for an emotionally immature child so why should it be for an adult? I assume a majority of Eve subscribers are adults as the children tend to gravitate toward WoW. Anyways, if CCP wants to sell an space Monacle for 1-quadrillion dollars, then so be it. If you think it's redonkulous then don't buy it and move on with your life. All these jackanapes spamming the forums with "I'ma quit eve!!!! WAAAAAAH!!", huffing and puffing, are redonkulous themselves. I doubt if you've invested any amount of blood, sweat, and tears into Eve you're going to quit over something so trivial. And if you do, c'est la vie you boob. I think all the negative trumpet blowing will hurt CCP more than their overpriced monacle. And we don't want to cripple CCP since we really like playing Eve don't we?! So, children, it is okay to complain, but throwing temper tantrums is just plain annoying and bad for business. Of course, I know, people can't be controlled and emotional gimps can't be reasoned with so this post will do nothing to calm people down. But it makes me feel better. :)
FYI - You can cast your vote of disapproval by not purchasing the monacle.

Yes, you are correct young padawan, the issue is bigger than a monacle. The "monacle" was not the focus of my complaint. It was an example used to validate my point. Making threats and blowing up the forums with "I'ma unsub" seems a bit childish in my opinion. And it happens nearly every time there is a change. People are like sheep and tend to follow the biggest perceived trends. And, over-zealous complainers tend to cause the big waves that sink games. I've seen it with other MMO's. Sometimes a good game dies because negative hype goes viral. I enjoy Eve as I'm sure others do and I'd hate to see it go under over issues that can be fixed through civil negotiations.
And for those who say I'm an idiot, you just proved you fit the definition of the word you just used. Name-calling is an ambiguous way to associate a person with a negative characterization when you have no evidence to support your assumption. MY assumption is you overestimate your own intelligence.
Can one of you experts please show me where my thoughts appear disorganized?

Too tired to spoon feed... still can't decide if you're trolling or serious. So, just go read the issues thread like everyone else, because you obviously haven't. If you really still think you're brilliant after that, come back and face the firing squad.

Oh absolutely, they started making them in 2003. They make about a hundred every year as burner accounts just in case. Once used they recycle them.

Doubt OP is one of them, but I'm betting a few of the posters as of late are. Especially with what I'm guessing is a gag at CCP, they need to diffuse the pitchforks somehow. Why not troll with throwaway accounts?

Please name these other changes where over 5000 accounts were unsubbed? Saying this happens nearly every time there is a change clearly shows you once again fail to grasp the bigger picture. But since you cant even post with your main im assuming your just a troll.

Viking Sven, I'm well aware of the issues. But if you want to spoon me, I'm all for it.
Skexy and Simetraz, you don't realize it, but you just helped prove my point. You are so used to seeing people whine every time CCP makes a mistake it mystifies your mind when someone stands up for them.

Umm, not sure you really did understand. Your words "When a spoiled child doesn't get their way they tend to stomp the feet and whine. This is called a temper trantrum" And all I did was provide an example in action, watch the video it is funny.

Vanity MT items nobody cares much about. Overpriced sure, but like you said... whatever. It's their decision to buy it or not. The problems are...
1.) CCP agreed in a thread some time ago to not introduce MT into Eve (after a community "temper tantrum" as you call it). 2.) CCP is in a tight financial spot from development on Dust and WoD. 3.) CCP told the community recently that they wanted to monetize 3rd party apps, but insisted it wasn't for personal profit (likely BS in retrospect). 4.) CCP's only source of income to fix their financial problem is Eve, so they are using MT to further supplement their income for their other two projects. 5.) CCP refuses to answer if MT stops at vanity items or not, presumably meaning they intended for it to go beyond vanity items. i.e. buying items that gives advantages in Eve using IRL money.
This is the basics of the MT issue. People also have issues with all of the PR blunders, Incarna suckiness, broken promise by making CQ non-optional, bugs, lack of communication, etc. any of which is a massive issue in and of itself.
It all equates to angering a lot of players for any of a vast number of reasons. Or more commonly, people raging at CCP for all of their recent failures... each of which were 100% avoidable if CCP put any effort into fixing them. Most people see the coming ****storm it's going to mean, too... hence all of the people unsubscribing now.
That, and CCP Hilmar's super-tactful line "don't listen to what the players say, rather see what they do". Regardless, see that as ragequitting if you want. I'm seeing it as getting out while the getting's good. I honestly don't want to be around to see what's coming.
