Ok so im current getting ready to finish up training for my ORCA.
How I plan to work on getting mining op's running to make use of it. For leadership skill training I've been going over the skills.
For doing a mining op in lowsec there's always the chance of getting attacked, even with a escort, so i want to make sure I can provide the best bonus's necessary to all people in the fleet.
I noticed the skills Siege Warfare, Armored Warfare, Information Warfare, Skirmish Warfare, that all give little bonus's to the fleet member's when your the booster.
My question is do you also have to run the modules for these to work, or are they passive when your the booster and the modules for the next step up (bigger bonus)? I don't want to spend 20 days getting these skills to level 4 to find out there useless without the modules since i'll be running the mining links on the Orca.

Believe it or not I just ran into the same question, and I think I have an answer.
My pilot is going to train Siege Warfare Specialist to Level 4. According to the description, and the Description of the Orca, this should give the miners an 80% boost in shields, but I may be wrong on that. This would be with a Siege Warfare gang Link module in one of the highs. I plan to give up the tractor beam for that, since the other two have Mining Foreman Mindlinks in them.
Even before the specialist levels, the Warfare Leadership skills should be, and appear to me to actually be giving a 2% boost in the skill's attribute per level. I have them all to 5. Remember that Leadership itself gives a boost. I think it is in agility.
If anyone is actually doing this now, we would appreciate hearing what results you are getting.

The siege, armoured, info.. etc skills are always given even if you dont run the corresponding links.
