If it is only 5%, they you are probably correct. Personally, I hope it is much more. Enough more to get CCP to change their minds. Otherwise, I'm going to miss this game.
Every friend that I have ever played MMO with wants MT. Maybe my crowd is full of working professionals who works really long hours and want to just have some fun without the grinding. Yes, yes, we want the quick and easy path which leads to the darkside.
For us MT is like a fresh box of golf balls. Yeah, we're going to loose them but who cares, it's only $15 bucks!!
You'll have fun blowing up our golden ships. I promise.

Im sorry, what discussion? Sounds like all they have done has been tell the CSM what they already know and nothing will change

The thing is you don't need to grind for SP. you don't need to grind for a ship by just buying a PLEX. Why the **** change it then?

We've been pressing pretty hard for answers on things when CCP wasn't clear enough to my taste. Overall things are progressing positively, but tomorrow is the real test...
I posted a blog update that may not provide anything but impressions, but my general stance and attitude of not compromissing (unless I have very good reason to) should provide an indication as to where this is going.
Have no doubt the concerns that have been voiced so vehemently are being represented.
Thanks for keeping us updated, and ignore the trolls. Looking forward to more information, and hoping you'll release formal minutes at some point in the near future.

Training is too slow. I want remaps and training accelerators. And gold/platinum ammo so I can cheat my way through complexes. Yes, yes, I know that will ruin the game, blah, blah, blah. I still want it.

Sorry, all I'm reading is that CCP is doing their best to spindoctor the negative publicity surrounding the forcing of microtransactions and CQ on players. They appear to be doing exactly what Himtler said in his email, not backing down and will only react to what players do, not what they say.
Here is what my "what players do" message is going to be for you CCP: All three of my account that I paid cash for since 2006 are canceled. I will not reward your behavior with my subscriptions.
Remember players, the CCP email said they will not consider what you post here or elsewhere on the internet, only what ACTIONS you take in regards to your subscriptions will affect the course of this sinking ship. If you don't hit that cancel button today you'll only have yourself to blame when gold ammo hits the NEX store in the years to come.

Meh.
Well so far I'm unimpressed, but the meetings aren't over yet and all we're hearing are little glimpses out the corner of our eyes. "Communication issues". Yes, yes, that's what it always is, isn't it? Just a big misunderstanding. Actions. Words. A really expensive shirt that says "Say no to microtransactions". Har har my sides. It's still ****ing me up the ass for my money, but it's ironic, so it's far less offensive! Oh wait no it isn't.
But whatever. We'll see how things go.

You're missing the fact that our beloved CSM is unable to tell us anything, aside from "lack of communications is the root of the issue". Laughable, considering they are unable, and unwilling, to give us the full scoop.

The CSM is clearly just going to act as mouthpieces for CCP. Without a doubt - the entire Peace Talk was a dog and pony show, planned well in advance, with only one goal: pretending that CCP gives a damn about how the players react to bad news.
Once again, Mittani is just saying that CCP made mistakes with how they explained things to the plebs, instead of saying what we all know: MTs are bad for EVE. Even those pretending they think MTs are good are either clueless, or just trolling.

Suffer, *****es.
Tomorrow, we will tackle the big question: Does CCP have plans to release game-affecting virtual goods (aka "gold ammo")?
UPDATE Apparently ship spinning / the old hangar is never coming back. Trebor_CSM tweeted about that, I was about to copy that tweet but apparently he removed it (!!) I am not making this up.
UPDATE 2 Hmm, mixed signals. TheMittani also was at the meeting. His tweet says (source):
Quote: @MaxSingularity We did discuss ship spinning with CCP and what I heard pleased me. One of the bright spots. Can't say details. vOv
UPDATE 3 CSM veteran Meissa Anunthiel posted a comment on page 8 post 216 including a reference to her blogpost.
Wow, suffer *****es? What are you? Spaceship Rockstar? You toolbag - get off your knees and remember what side you're supposed to be on!
"Tomorrow we will discuss...."
If they have to save it for day two - the news is bad. Just sayin'. Give you a day of dialogue, and then smack your nuts with a flooring hammer. Sorry for the news guys, hope you liked our frozen second world country, enjoy the peanuts on the flight home.
Again - they're saving the "big one" for tomo? Bad weather is comin'
Reminds me of that part of Team America where Baldwin is giving his speech:
"One day you'll look back at the EvE us CSM's have created and say,..."
"Nice going, f*g." "You really made EvE a better game, didn't ya f*g?"
Again CSM - your alliances should spend the few million to award you a dereliction of duty ribbon.
For shame!

They are still on the 'communication breakdown' hand holding crap I see. i.e. too dumb to understand.
A whole day for 'golden ammo'? Really, really bad start as it shouldn't take longer than 5 seconds.
Too much NDA crap.
And Trebor thanks for the update. The warning is appreciated.

I fully expect CCP to backtrack big time... I think a lot of the accounts in that thread were legitimatly cancelled... I know the two I posted about were, and I think CCP probably will have that message loud and clear.
I fully expect a TON of CYA stuff... CCP is going to backtrack bigtime..."we never were going to implement P2W", various backtrackings that will all be a complete lie in order to accomplish a certain degree of reconciliation.
I then expect that CCP will implement a halfway measure... something in between P2W and pure vanity... they'll lie, and screw us over to the maximum extent that we will allow.
CCP, we've already got the pertinent messages.... your corporate leadership sucks. They don't have the ability to be fiscally responsible, and expect EVE players to be the cash cow to make up for their fiscal mismanagement with developing too much at once... let alone how many years on the captains quarters?
Basically, there is no parley, there is no truce. CCP will screw us as far as they can. It merely remains to be seen if they use enough lube that it's acceptable to the existing fan base or not. Message received CCP. Go ahead and backtrack... we've already got the real message.

That's what you say, but when it comes to the crunch, will you stay and pay or quit?
Not sure how exactly that is that relevant to your interests, but I was planning on waiting until CCP confirms what I already expect will happen before I make that decision. I've been waiting a long time for CCP to change direction (subbing and unsubbing in-between), this could very well prove to be the last straw for me, I am certainly leaning that way already.
I am fully prepared to be surprised by the outcome of the CSM meeting, but I anticipate being disappointed yet again.
We're not upset that you lied to us CCP, we're upset that from now on we can't believe you.

The fact that CCP put off addressing adding P2W items to the Nex store until tomorrow should tell the CSM exactly what to expect tomorrow (If they aren't too blinded by the prospect of free beer.).
The question isn't what CCP will say. The question is whether the CSM has any stones.

There is no way everyone will be happy. We have to keep that in mind.
I don't even agree with many as to what the main problem is. The main problem I see is that CCP has let EVE coast for 2 years. Lapping up the money and spending it willy nilly on other projects instead of reinvesting at least a fair portion back into EVE. It has produced what is arguably the worst expansion to date, Incarna. An expansion so unfinished that it would have been an embarrassment to any corporation to put out. It has the feel of a late alpha.
On top of this CCP has attacked the playerbase demanding yet more money that its not spending on EVE. Through 3rd Party License fees and NEX store. The anger players see is that there is no return in investment for them. Yet CCP wants more to spend elsewhere not EVE.
So the crux of the problem is when will we see dedicated work on EVE again, when will it receive the attention it used to? Most people do not believe the answer is after DUST and WoD are completed, they believe CCP will just shift the money again to another new project. While certainly the corp needs investment in future products at least half of the money from EVE Online subscriptions should be going to maintain and develop EVE Online but that's not happening and hasn't for a couple of years. That is what is the main source of anger when you boil off the fog.

Really? You trust the company that caused all this, and the CSM who admit they have been left in the dark and lied to, to know best if anyone should be upset? Idiot. Could your nose get any browner? Could you stick you head any further into the sand? Comments like yours are appropriate to the very distant past before the REALITY of the last months occurred.

I am sorry Meissa, I voted for you, but this is exactly the politician like crap that says nothing and leaves people cold. It's a betrayal.
This to me implies that soon(tm) some politically correct statement of namby pamby words will be issued showing 'great strides in new effective communication' and 'a fresh new understanding between ccp and the csm' has occurred, and that we all should trust that YET AGAIN and just wait.... while Eve deteriorates.
I hope I am wrong but this sort of thing (staged public relations farce) never prosper.

Explain me member of the csm, why you still dont have for us the simple answer we all request.
To be honest, it should have been the first thing you ask as soon as you were in the building, and seeing ccp not answering it...you should have all walked away.
But its ok, we didnt expect much from the csm anyway.
