WTF is going on Miilla, get back to trolling and stop making sense.
(also, while I'm waiting for my 2min timer to be able to post this, I might add - not only "shiney", if judging by CCP's stats, doesn't 90% of the playerbase live in highsec? so it's definately less than 10%, deducting lowsec inhibitants etc, that will have any use of Time Dilation? roflscates) -

And if they hadn't been shown the Time Dilation work, some people would have been screaming about the lack of upcoming flying in space features.

I should be intrigued by this but in reality I am apprehensive. Does this mean that when we undock and travel light years, that when we get back to our hangars everything will have aged and decayed, necessitating repair or replacement costs? In Aurums likely.

The thing is that while most of the players live in highsec, highsec is ****ing pointless and boring. When was the last time CCP made a trailer, or an outside news-site reported on some ****ing pubbies running the same mission for the fiftieth time? The answer is never. When people think of EVE, they think of massive fleet battles, alliance politics and double-dealing. Us 10% in 0.0 are eve. Everything else is pointless filler that's sadly necessary to keep the lights on. If EVE were a nation, us nullsec inhabitants would be the government that enables it to run. Don't feel bad though, we absoutely need high-sec people to clean our trash and serve us mcdonalds. It's kind of noble in a way.

you think you are superior, yet you don't even understand what the word "sandbox" means. EVE is different for everyone. learn to respect that and be less ignorant.

I definitely can see it happening. For the low price of 5000 Au a capsuleer will be able to dilate time for one month effectively doubling the acquisition rate of skill points

Uh.. No?
Time Dilation is simply being used to combat lag in large fleet fights. So that nobody gets off a lucky shot amidst a thousand button presses in a lag fight. --- The ≡v≡ Online Forums: where all the kiddies go to whine.

So clearly 0.0 isn't much more interesting than highsec, or there would be more than 10% of the population there.

I live in null, in fact I got eight accounts parked there right now, my accounts in highsec is just of convinence.
Time Dilation will have zero affect on my gameplay, give or take, assuming I don't have some random unlucky streak and they lag out my whole region.
What I'm saying is that nullsec inhibitants won't all be affected by this either. So, a small portion of lowsec, and say, maybe half (I'd say that seems optimistic, but let's pretend it is) of null. That means less than 5% of EVE's playerbase is affected by Time Dilation. But at the same time, 50% of the CSM is, if not more, AMIRITE?
I'll leave the tinfoiling up to you guys, but if TD is CCP's damage control.. well that sure is some epicly horrible diversion of subject. Not only does it completely ignore the issues we brought up, it's also a very narrow addition to the game, that probably makes less people happy than the amount of people that was happy about Captains Quarter. Nice to put in perspective. -

So clearly owning a private jet and a 100 million dollar mansion isn't much better than living in a shack in a Brazilian favela, or there would bee more than 10% (More like 0.1 or something, but whatever) of the population with said jets and homes.

I've enjoyed my time in all the different areas of space, but the reality is that high sec is the tutorial. 0.0 is THE GAME.
