Dear CCP,
There is a major building code violation in the captainĘs quarters that may lead to serious injury and/or death. The staircase leading down to the pod access area has no right hand railing at all.
Sincerely, Technomanis

They don't have non-slip reflective taping on the stairs either, tsk tsk.

The CQ is ****ing Minmatar. What did you expect from something that "looks like an explosion in a girder factory"? Also, if you can't navigate your way safely down the stairs without railings, how do you expect us to trust you with a frigate?

Today, a capsuleer lost 1b isk in implants due to faulty staircase. A lawsuit against the manufacturers of the captain's quarters pending while CONCORD conducts a possible criminal investigation.

Well personally, after living in my ship for the past week, staggering out of my pod up a hard metal stair-case just seems bloody silly. Especially covered in goo...
Hrm...Also, living in a janitor's closet with a lousy couch.
A TV that ISN'T bigger then the house of one of my lessers. No harem anywhere. No invisible fountains like they talked about in one of the Eve books...I'm filthy rich. Why don't I own any of that? :(

BREAKING NEWS
Reports are coming in that the H&S Executive have ordered CCP to place signs on all CQ staircases to advise all Capsuleers that falling down stairs can be hazardous.

You forgot to mention that your pod dumps you on a metal grated floor for all your crew to see your bum when you fall out of the goo, every time you dock.

Edited by: Pyatera on 04/07/2011 23:53:02 The new style pods have a changing room built in.
Don't expect results from Concord, they've been taking bribes from CCP for years.
CQ was deliberately designed to be small to combat the effects of Agoraphobia. Being confined in a small space inside the pod for extended periods can lead to a morbid fear of large spaces. Therefore, the CQ is designed to allow comfort while being small enough to keep you feeling calm.
The HSE has determined that, since you cannot die and a fall from the stairs leading down to the pod access would result in you waking up in a clone, as such, you are not in any real danger of death.

You expected the Minmatar CQ to be up to code? Have you seen their ships?
They fly around in ships held together by duct tape and prayers. I don't think they care about a missing railing.

The warning signs are still required, as if you do not die falling down stairs, you must be warned in advance of potential physical or mental trauma from not dying.
Lawyers from Claims-R-Us are eagarly awaiting your calls.

Let see what the cost of the "railing BPC" will be in the NeX store before you transfer them and I reprocess them... |
