Edited by: Comodore John on 05/07/2011 23:44:39 Launcher hardpoints mean nothing, now possible to fit as many launchers as high slots your ship has. Example: 8 launcher Raven, 7 launcher Golem, etc. This includes a 5 bomb launcher Stealth Bomber Workaround: Mirror required
Cargohold bonuses and modules aren't being applied correctly (ex: pilot A has industrial command ship, Orca, 3, instead of 34,500 m3, only 31,500 is available)
Some modules do not appear in space as fitted, but fitting window shows them as present Workaround: Use a ship with a Ship Maintenance Aarray to unfit and refit these modules to make them appear
Both ECCM modules and ECCM gang links are not being applied.
Session change in station is gone, it is now possible to switch ships as often as you want.
It is now possible to make a ship you do not have the skill to fly active in your hangar, however it is not possible to undock in these ships (possible feature?).
Unable to open cargo containers/wrecks in space, opening ship maintenance arrays and corp hangars still works
More to come

I'm sure CJ has bug reports for all of them but made a forum post to make double light of it.
Oh, and don't forget the ever present Stopping bug where you cannot stop your ship and the bug that keeps your modules from appearing on the U.I. when boarding a SuperCapital in space. The only known fix for that is a session change such as docking or jumping to another system.
I made a bug report for the module bug several years ago and obviously it didn't help!

These are not just casual annoying bugs, they are game breaking bugs. It is now a normal state of affairs from CCP that they break everything they touch. I mean how the hell can such disastrous bugs get introduced back into the environment. Does nobody at CCP test anything- its just one big laugh. If I gave CCP a ball bearing I bet they would break it.
The test server is broken but I guess that aligns with the main server being broken as well.

I have one question to ask you: Do you think you could do a better job? if your answer is yes than you are more of an idiot than I thought. If your answer is no then quit *****ing and come up with suggestions to help instead of just pointlessly criticizing CCP. You accomplish NOTHING except making yourself look like an angry forum troll when you criticize something and walk away without any suggestion for improvement of your own.

Edited by: CCP Konflikt on 06/07/2011 17:44:10 Thanks for taking the time to post but for fixes to be made we need to make defects and the best way to get defects made is to make a Bug Report and have it reproduced by a bug hunter.
That being said, Singularity is where we test changes to the product and there will always be bugs in a project like Eve.
It's impossible to test everything, Eve is an 8 year software project that is always changing, it's now the collective work of around 300+ developers working on it, in terms of any software project, it's massive, by Lines of Code, complexity and many other metrics, we're always adding features or making fixes and even fixes can introduce new flaws. I hope this gives you an idea of the complexity of testing Eve.
Without SiSi, our chance of finding bugs would be crippled, it is naive to demand or expect high quality on SiSi, because it's an environment that we use to improve the quality of our production product.
If you want to know more.... (here comes some smug self promotion) you can watch the Fanfest presentation by QA here and look at my pretty long hair.

A question for you. How much are CCP paying you to be so blinkered you might as well be blind folded as well. It may have escaped your attention but I am allowed to express my opinion as to how crap a job CCP does with everything they touch. They screw up the patching frequently on Tranquillity, they break more items than they fix.
I understand that this is a test server but how the hell can we test anything when there are so many broken items. What are we testing?
I do have a suggestion for improving the situation. CCP needs to stop rolling out a heap of poorly coded junk & spend less time playing with Barbie in a station & more time fixing the poorly executed code which tarnishes every bodies game experience. Is that good enough for you, your Royal Highness?

Welcome to sisi, if stuff isn't broken, CCP is either doing it wrong or you haven't looked hard enough for the bugs.
As to everything else, bug reported it ofc

SiSi is one of the playgrounds for testing. It is essentially a more proper clone of TQ than their probably other test environments(duality, etc). However nowhere does it say RELEASE CANDIDATE server or THINGS WONT BE EPICALLY BROKEN SERVER. They pushed changes to obviously test how changes to several core systems work out and they clearly see things are broke. Plus it allows players to cover ridiculous number of areas otherwise it would take weeks for a QA team to test everything for just a minor attribute change.

I think you just need to lighten up a bit. It's a game, nothing more.
And again, I ask; Do you think you could code this game better?

stop being sad in the basement and report the bugs if you have a problem with it - kinda prevents them from leaking over to Tranquility, where the real game is...remember?

Not sure who you're directing that statement at but I wasn't the one complaining about the bugs. I've likely got more pending bug reports than most anyone who frequents the test server. I follow the proper procedures for helping fix the problems instead of just emoraging about them on the forums and accomplishing nothing quite like Taharqua10 seems to have the propensity to do.

Dispite CCPs QA process being tied to bug reports, which i fully understand, a thread collecting all known and suspected bugs would be very helpful for us to see, what the status of Sisi is.
So please allow a single thread where we can share our experience with other players. ________________________________________________ Some days i loose, some days the others win ... |

The bonus is only applied when you first fit them, as far as I know. Try removing them, then re-fitting different ones, or repackage the old ones.

Yea, only challenge is that a freighter does not have any low slots for expanded holds, just a skills bonus. I tried repackage, and buy new... so far no love on convincing the server that I do actually have 900km3, not the 787km3 it thinks I have.
If anyone has any other tips, I'd welcome them

Most of the menus do not respond for me, ship hanger, fitting, agent finder and the couch. All of the menus with a corresponding button elsewhere or with a shortcut do work, like fitting, Nex store, ship hangar, etc. It's just that they don't work through the CQ menu granted to you by hovering your mouse over their represented interface within the CQ environment. I am running a fresh install of the sisi client, which installed flawlessly by the way. Also of note, I am experiencing lag like never before. All drivers are up to date. Can I have your Vindicator? :D |

As core fuctionality is broken right now I stopped looking lol.
Hopefully after they get 1.0.2 deployed on TQ they can get a fresh build on Sisi with all 4 CQ working.

I'll take a look
NOTE: When I say fixed I mean I've fixed a defect with those symptoms but not that it's been deployed to SISI. _______________ |
