S/he just wanted attention, apparently. I think CCP should make periodic posts stating they are listening to community but not mention any specifics. I`m sure many people would feel much happier.

Did they, really?
"There are no plans, and have been no plans, as per previous communication and CSM meetings, to introduce the sale of game breaking items or enhancements in the NeX store."
I am more convinced now than ever that CCP does indeed plan to introduce items which will affect gameplay, so long as they are not "game breaking" from the perspective of CCP. They simply can't get away from the weasel-wording. All they need to say is that they will never introduce items to the NeX store which will have any in-game effect whatsoever. They refuse to make that simple statement.
So long as the NeX store exists in any form, we can ultimately expect to see pay-to-win items on sale eventually.

Notice we are not talking about Vanity-Only items anymore? The Goal posts have moved (again) Also read the press conference- Zulu couldn't 'promise' anything because somebody might not like it in 80 years -lol. How about from now on CCP reduce the time frame for promises to 5 years. I could live with that.

Of course it will, once they entice enough of those type of players into the game, it will be the popular thing. You will be drowned out in the forums.

As a general point, I think some players should realise that dialogue needs to be kept civil and constructive if it's ever going to have a hope of success. The problem with a wall of abuse which contains little or no constructive points is that the very people you want to respond to you will simply be driven away. The silence from CCP was deafening for a while but how can you respond to hundreds of posts that froth at the mouth, denigrate you and wish your demise in a series of unpleasant accidents? You just have to walk away for a bit until the dust settles and then start again.
I'm hoping that the last few weeks will be a learning experience for everyone. I'm the first to admit that some of my recent post were high on aggression and low on constructive content and I'm planning to change that. Everyone involved wants this game to live long and prosper, no less the people who have sunk large chunks of their working life into it. When the poop hits the fan again, we just have to remember we're all on the same side really, just fighting over the details.

Hopefully you understand that not many of us have the pull to directly address everybody's concerns publicly... Myself included. Just thought I'd chime in on a fairly non-controversial subject to say that while it may not be prudent to comment most of the time, that there are dev lurkers that do see this stuff.

When your CEO proudly makes statements that it is his policy to ignore what the customer asks for, then it is a fair assessment that we're going to be ignored.
I feel bad for you. You're in an even worse situation than we are. I can walk away--I've already cancelled subs on two of my three accounts--but you get to see your baby thrown out with the bathwater.

Never waste a dull moment to jab at anyone with a "CCP" in their name that speaks up...
If you don't like them so much or how YOU perceive the direction of this game going, why do YOU pay and play their game? Bitterness only breeds more bitterness...and frankly, that becomes a health issue IRL.

That is a bit surprising to hear since there are literally hundreds of posts on many different threads talking about how the dev's and CCP in general not listening to us, the customer, but they have no clue how this game is played or howthe players want to play the game.

Because of the many friends I have made here through the years, because of the corporation I lead, the alliance I am a part of and the empire I helped build and defend.
I disagree with many decisions CCP made over the past few months and even years, and I have no intention of supporting them as a corporation, as I do not believe the quality of their product appeals to me anymore. But my friendships and loyalties go way beyond the game, and I will not throw them away because of my personal problems with CCP. ---

Funny, I thought it meant that you wont get a crap about what we say on the forums, and only listen if the business starts to lose money.....
But I guess I was wrong.
