So my understanding was if you enter warp before a bubble is dropped (dropped where you come out of warp)it will not stop you/drag you. Isn't this how it's supposed to work?
I was cloaked off grid scanning a blob on station , there were warp disruption probes on scan (heretic) but no anchored bubbles or hic. So waited till the there are no probes on scan and warp to station. Scan again in warp - no probes, scan again just before i drop out of warp and up pop probes again. Lo and behold i land 20km from the station on edge of bubble and am promptly decloaked by the damnation beside me
Working as intended? |

HIC Bubbles aren't probes on your overview filter. |

I wasn't there, I have no idea what your filters are set to read.
It sure sounds like a case of Cloaked HIC who put a bubble up however.

Regardless of whether the mechanic is broken or not (although the way it's supposed to work is that bubbles cannot pull you out of warp if they are deployed after you have entered warp) is to never, ever warp to any celestial in null security space. Always use bookmarks in random directions/distances from the objects.
For instance, in KBP I have multiple bookmarks at different (warpable) ranges from the gates. If I want to go somewhere I warp to one of the bookmarks, get an eyes on view of what's actually going on at the gate, verify that it's safe to warp, and then warp to the gate. The same goes for every celestial in null security space.
Never warp directly do something at 0 km.
Never warp to something at range 100 km or less. |

A bubble will always stop you if you land on it while warping. (The warp back to a pos after logging there being an exception)
A bubble deployed after you have clicked warp will not function as a drag bubble however, so you won't be pulled away from where you wanted to land.
I.E. If that bubble you landed in had allowed room for you to land between it and the station then it wouldn't have stopped you short, you would have warped past it and landed at 0, but since your warp landed you within the bubble, you were stopped at the edge. |
