Edited by: Zondrail on 08/07/2011 19:20:41 So I went out in an Imperial Navy Slicer and had the best time I've had in EVE yet.
I ran into 4 destroyers... 2 Thrashers, a Cormorant and Catalyst... a lot of this was good fortune on my part... both hybrid platforms were blasters.
So I began to range kite these guys (my first time PVPing with this tactic). I lost one in half armor because keeping tackle on him would have meant me landing in the middle of his friends. I probably could have banked to the side and managed, or something along those lines, but I'm new to this tactic, and not extremely experienced in PVP.
From there, I managed to kill 2 of the destroyers, finding a little more comfort in maintaining tackle long enough to finish them off. The last one warped out as I was finishing off the second destroyer.
Easily the most fun I've had in PVP. I'm not sure if it was just the encounter, or if it was the kite setup, but it was fun.
So on top of me just taking this opportunity to tell my fun pvp story. What are some really fun kite setups that you all like to fly? Things that can kite ships of it's own class and higher, and has ways of dealing with the ships that are faster than it. |

What made it fun was that you was fighting 4v1 and you killed 2 of them and the others warped away!

I know, and I want more! :)
I'm experimenting with a Kiting HAM Cerb setup right now... what do you think?
Double range bonuses on the Cerb make the range reasonable for a 30k disruptor (if you want to go that far with it). |

Cerberus is not best for kiting, there is lot of minmatar ships that are cheaper and better to use for that. caldari is too slow usually. |

I don't really do nano stuff much I like brawling but... [keep at range] would have worked in this case, set to same as your orbit, find your space away from victims mates and just sit there melting face. Nice to hear a positive story about solo pvping every once in a while, keep it up mate |

Oh yeah do you mind sharing your Slicer fit? If you don't want it all over the fourms then you could send me a mail in game with your fit.
Please and thank you
