My standing is 6.02, making it possible, from what I've heard, to set up a POS in 6.0 space. After creating a new corp of just myself, I checked the standings for it. Everyone is neutral toward it, even after one down time. Am I going to have to grind missions until my corp standing is 6.0 or higher to set up that POS? |

Yes, it's a combination of all the members in the corp, not just you. It tells you in game I believe. Go into your corp standings in the corporation window and it'll tell you the logic they use to calculate. If you have the standing and haven't waited the time, you need to wait as well. |

Edited by: Maven Deltor on 09/07/2011 19:34:05 I just went through this myself. I waited an extra two days before I searched out a solution. Turns out it's a cache issue. CCP should fix it, but it's an age old problem.
http://www.eve-guides.com/poss/standingsfix.php tells you how to delete your cache files that are causing this problem.

Edited by: Isowa on 09/07/2011 20:02:49 Okay so I just wait a week and delete my cache. Easy enough. I should have figured that time is always in the equation when doing anything in EVE. Once I get everything set up I'll just move my Indy's into the corp so they can play with their new toys and everything should be as I planned ... I hope! Thanks all. o/ |

If you created the corp it should have that characters standings, just need to clear your cache cause its a bug, shouldn't need to wait 7 days unless something has changed. |

Nope still has to be a member for 7 downtimes for your standing to count. |

Edited by: Anat Sky on 09/07/2011 22:11:39 You might want to check you have the Raw (i.e before skills) standing for it, corp standings do not take into account any boost`s any player may be getting from connections skill etc
*edit:
you can right click on a faction/ corp in the standings tab of the corp management window to find out the standing composition.
this may help you |

I have XP and I can't find the "application data" part of this path. Can someone validate that this is correct? I will be putting a POS up myself soon and want to be ready to go when the time comes. |

It's the right folder name, but it's hidden. Click on Tools > Folder Options and set it so you can view hidden folders :) |

yes, really.
so if you have 6.02 (or whatever) standing after skills, your info page will say something like:
[Faction] 6.02 (Connections raises your standing from N)
where 'N' is the raw standing you have toward the faction. =========================

Genius I know how PERSONAL standings work, I was asking how they are passed on to the corporation standings, for example in a one man corp.

Corporation standing is updated every downtime, and is a simple average of all members in the corp with non-null standing towards the faction (skills are not applied), and that have been members for at least 7 days.
If a member with standing leaves the corp, the corp standing will not change unless there is someone still in the corp with non-null standing towards the faction.
Null standing means no standing at all is showing for that faction. A personal standing of 0.0 showing (before skills) is not null, and will affect the corp standing.
If you create a corp, everyone including the CEO/Founder is a new member, and corp standing will not change for 7 days.

damn forum ate part of the post...it should have had the additional line
"that raw standing is then what is applied to the corp average, after you've been in your corp for 7 days" =========================
