Edited by: Palovana on 11/07/2011 15:36:43 I hope this isn't the SiSi build - there are some graphics issues (one of my alts has only hair and glasses showing).
Not that I use the CQ on TQ, I just see "door".

edit: first! ----- CCP is still under the misconception that by waving a bunch of (NeX store items) in our faces, we'll give in to our urges and (buy) them. Bring back the hangar view and its functionality! |

- Users should experience reduced CPU/GPU temperatures while in the Captains Quarters.
I am now happy with the incarna release if this is in fact true.

A three and a half our DT for the changes in those meager patch notes?
Come on CCP. What other [undocumented] changes are you making?

While its not in the patch notes. They are probably going to test a fix to the change they reverted after the last patch that effected logging ability.
Also testing CQ and being able to confirm that it works with diffrent computer setups with less people becouse of summer vacations would slow down the process also.

I think its a long time to do any code changeover, no matter how trivial. And there is always a final QA sweep to see what unintended bugs show up so they can rush out a patch.

Shame this patch does nothing to fix the real problems created by Incarna, like having to deselect and reselect a window to close it, or the increasing docking times, or the turd-like new turret icons, that you can't even see on a dark backround!
CCP all over, fix the irrelevant and ignore everything else, after all CQ is easily fixed, use the off button!

I hope that doesn't mean CCP is giving in to the whiners and nerfing the graphics. :(

Patch on Singularity is very broken graphically with artifacting in CQ and ridiculously high specular on character models. I doubt it's that one.

Interesting, I wonder if we could get the texture/model/shader pack used for character re-customization to use in CQ...

Very nice CCP
My CQ is disabled due to my CPU burn like hell
I really hope a temperature stabilization with this patch. If this happens, +1 to ya!

Then you cant pass Prime95 therefore your overclock or even stock setup is nogo. Check your cooling.

Having my videocard NOT 5c over the maximum recommended will be a load off of my mind. I've been afraid to sit in stations.
Thanks for fixing this.

Fix is "working to reduce GPU load so as to prevent/reduce GPU burn ups."
Why would anyone complain about this? My only concern is the length of the DT. But then again, I don't know exactly what is being done. So...
If your GPU is running overtemp with just CQ running, you need a new one with proper cooling, or get you GPU fan cleaned/fixed. I'm running an ATI Radeon HD4890, and the fan is only going at 50%. Seriously, upgrade/fix your crap instead of complaining.

Anyone notice the fact that this is a 3-4000 build gap between patches?
And only a.... couple items on the list.

lol nice changes......
I admit CQ puts a bit of load on both my gaming machine and my movie machine but srsly, people who are overheating issues are just fkin ******ed and probably havent cleaned out their fans/intakes for years. I clean mine twice a month and it helps A LOT.
Waste of patch, this could have been rolled out at a later time with actual features/proper bug fixes.
Like bringing back my double click approach.

No, you don't: Modern versioning systems like SVN or GIT use the same version numbering across all branches.
Several developers may be checking changes into their branches at least once a day.
Merging branches (e. g. getting the newest bug fixes from trunk, or pushing your private branch into a test branch) produces more artificial version numbers.
Still, more than 2 hours downtime for a client side patch?

I havent been following the forums recently, can someone tell me if the new functionality of the CTRL key in eve (lock selected) has replaced the old functionality (freeze overview). Or is this just a bug thats being fixed at some point?

Maybe it's best not to announce patches at all - even less than 24h in advance seems chancy.
PS: Dev Blog on what happened, please.
