Hi everyone,
I would like to try this. But really dont know how to go about it. Might be good to go after NPC's that are weak to EM/Therm. Planning to use Amarr ship because dont need to worry about ammo. Looking for location and a plan on getting out there undetected.

Use the Stealth Bomber--Amarr one for EM damage, Gallente for TH--just make sure you fit it with some kind of tank (DCU/Shield Extender) so you can buy a few extra seconds if you get stuck on an asteroid whilst the rat-cruisers draw a bead on you, or it could hurt ...They've got the damage output and ability to apply it from range, that the recons don't, plus they get around much more quickly/easily than that plated/Trimarked wallowing pig of a Pilgrim/Arazu. You won't need a lot of ammo with the high alpha, just make sure the "velocity" column on your overview is on, and try not to fire torps when the target's velocity is too much above 120m/s (and train CovOps to at least 4, and Target Navigation Prediction to 5 ASAP!). Oh, and make sure you've fitted a Target-Painter.
You need to destroy things and then cloak-and-warp quickly whilst doing this, hence my rationale for the SB. (This is how I ninja-rat a particularly nice losec pocket to keep my main's sec-status halfway reasonable, by the way.)
(Possible exception: Rapier, but I've not tried this myself yet--in any case, you can lose 5-6 SBs for what 1 Recon costs, so it makes better "business-sense.")

Ship - Hound.
Location - anywhere in Great Wildlands that's off the main routes. Just shoot the BSs and ignore the frigates (there's only 2 types that scram anyway IIRC).
Getting there - go through Egbinger, Khabi or Skarkon around downtime (+/- 3 hours). Won't be any major camp and they're regional gates anyway. After that its normal null-sec - likely to be a dictor/bubble or something around but you're stealthy so should be OK.

You can effectively rat with a SB? I didn't know this. I'll need to research this.

Yeah its childsplay provided you match the bomber to the rats. Even just bumping sec status its probably 40mill/hour, if you're chaining stuff then its a fair bit more. I'm no expert, I just showed a couple of people how to do it when they wanted to get back above -5. All you need to do is learn which rats scram and avoid them.

A Pilgrim is the best ninja ratter - mainly against Angels.
An SB has the advantage of being a much cheaper ship to risk losing.
But ultimately its a waste of time. You have frequently have to hide from roamers wasting time, you wont kill as fast a even ratting BC would and you have limited ammo which means youll have to find a resully mechanism.
Wherever you went - Here you are.

Wow, SB works! Once I run out of ammo my plan will be to try the pilgrim. Thanks for the info forum.
