My play times vary wildly but normally there's 35-45k players online at any given time. Lately there's like 20-30k..what's with that?

Most people would say that they're on holiday or something. Myself, I think a lot of people have just gotten ****y about Incarnage and quit/taken breaks from EVE.

Clearly you can't count, according to some people, there are more new players everyday....

With the exception of Jita trading I've been in a WH for 6 months, and Incarna has meant absolutely nothing to me once I turned off CQ. Spinning a rifter is only amusing for so long, and most of the station screen is covered by wallet and market windows.
Are people really that ****y about a few overpriced RMT items that you can just ignore? I've been reading other threads and I've noticed no issues with missiles or drones...just FYI.

Say...
Why don't you go back a year and look at the trend for June/July?
And then go back a year before that and look again. And then... well you get the picture. Or not.

Bunch of reasons. Summer, vacations, backpacking. Half(quarter?)-finished "update". Strange NeX shop and "we have no plan" RMT "promises" accompanied by "get lost if you don't like it" comments. Some people finally realized it's faster to work one-two hours in RL and buy-sell 1 PLEX than to mine / do missions during a week in game.
And so on.

Also, Incarna has maybe 5 minutes of gameplay content max, while Apocrypha had about a year of content. I'm not sure if Incarna will really cause people to cancel, but I will say I sure don't have any extra reasons to log on unlike most past expansions.

Yup. Summers tend to have pretty high numbers, especially around and after the summer patches. Not this time, though. ùùù ôWe want to try this thing called micro-transactions, but we don't know what it is. Can anyone explainà aw screw it, let's just do it! What could go wrong?ö ù ÇÇP |

Actually my beef has nothing to do with vanity MT. CQ is is horribly designed, and if we hadn't put our foot down, you would soon be forced to lag in station even worse than you do looking at a door. I bought a new rig recently, (AMD II X4 925 Quad core processor, Radeon HD 5750, 4 gig) which gives me three. It is the only one that can run CQ at an acceptable frame rate, yet space is 60fps consistently, even in large fire fights at max settings, it runs at 35/40fps, CQ can't do better than 29, 20 if I look at the mirror. I have spent the last three years dealing with lag in 0.0, I really have no desire to experience it everytime I dock....And they intended to take away the power to turn off CQ....
That was pretty much it for me, that and the open distain that CCP management seems to have for it's playerbase. With the attitude shown by them, you can assume they will do whatever it takes to make more money. If some "consultant" recommends implementing P2W, it will be in the next patch.
And if you see lag now, you haven't seen anything once they implement lagging in stations.

Takin a break from MMO's for the most part.

nice. and yes devs definitely have bias towards Russian tanks, discussing the subject = ban lol. They are Russians after all, they still rely on forced censure and information control. Anyway, I'm grinding towards PZ IV atm. The Monocle Definition CCP - Originally by: Imuran Cannot code properly

Actually....
Had they indeed ignored that warning, the future would have been far different for the people involved. it was the "too little too late" that killed THAT ship.

This, I bet they do like the smell in their "aces", since they don't seem to even put it out a bit to actually breathe and say something that doesnt stink like the hole they live in. ---Eve is not dying, its being murdered ----

Well this seems as good a place as any to say bye. I came back to the game last December after a break (I played nightly from 2005 to 2009). The Plex thing was a nice change as I can make ISK hand over fist with little effort.
Having been a 0.0 station holding PvPer I decided to have a change of pace and started trading. With my alts I was making more than enough to pay for my plex without having to undock. I didn't mind hauling when there were Chrons to read but CCP killed them off. So I avoided hauling or did it on AP while I was out (no suicide gank losses either ).
I decided to hang around long enough to get a look at Incarna. After all these years waiting I thought it might lead to me being able to run a bar in a station while looking after my little trade empire. I have had enough F1-F8 to last me a life time. My characters move like geriatrics and I can't change the channels on my TV to anything useful. I never use the corp interface, I want market up there, maybe with a summary based on my quick list or something. Really after so much time I was expecting at least the character movement to be polished and smooth, why does my clone move like he is recovering from hip surgery?
So many cool ideas with so much potential have been left to die after release by CCP. I've seen enough. I'm not annoyed about it or anything, I just don't see the potential ever being realised with Incarna and I haven't been bothered to log in and do my trades since I saw it go live. My plex runs out in 6 days and I can't be bothered doing anything about it.
So, there is my feedback and that explains one less person online. I'm off to run around in spandex shooting aliens (Champions Online) while I wait for SWOTOR to come out.

I can't be bothered logging in lately and don't think I will be renewing my sub. I am enjoying Black prophecy at the moment, yes it has MT but no sub, not both sub and MT like eve has.

Can I have your stuff? Seriously, after years of being gone and recently returning, I'm dirt poor and have little idea what I'm doing. But I'm willing to try. I'm willing to give 100%, nay, 150%!, to no longer be bad at EVE. I love this game that much. I'm even willing to make real life sacrifices, such as not watering my plants or cleaning my cats' litter boxes.
But without your generosity, without your caring for a fellow player, and dare I say, without your gallantry, I might not make my dream of EVE come true. If I fail, if I continue to die needlessly in poorly fit ships that I can't afford to lose, my hope will die, my plants will wither, and my cats will become dangerously incontinent.
Telemicus Thrace, Flag Bravo, can you help me in my hour of need? Can you leave New Eden in a blaze of glory by granting me the means, and the ISK, to continue your legacy of greatness? I am at your mercy with arms extended and head bowed. My knees are raw against the rusty steel of my captain's quarters.
You are my only hope. You can make a real difference. Please be my champion in this most dire of times.

àand that doesn't change the fact that it's trending down, since it's low in both ends. It's been going down ever since Incursions, and the normal patch-aided summer bump hasn't really appeared. ùùù ôWe want to try this thing called micro-transactions, but we don't know what it is. WOT for me.
Tried Perpetuumm during Beta, but left unsatisfied. May try it again, as many of my EVE friends went there.. but having fun losing to packs of mice right now. I may eventually return to EVE - but that will be after there are significant developments in the game. Even before this AU nonsense, or the crap that CCP refers to as Incarna, EVE has been stale for a couple years. It's almost as though CCP wanted to manufacture the rage over MTs to distract everyone from just how stale the game has become.
Fix the game and the vets will forgive the breaking of promises, as EVE really does hold potential.. but that potential isn't worth anything when it's packaged with PR lies and a game that has been stale for a few years.
