Bid on an auction, which was at 8m, and had increments of 1m. I bid 9m, and then a was outbid by a 9.5m offer. Huh? I bid again, trying to increase by 500,000, but my bid was not accepted as it was below the 1m increment.
So I bid the 10.5m, and was again outbid by an increment of 500k. I thought something was fishy and did not rebid, the auction finished at the 11m mark.
So, how can one player be required to increase by 1m, and another only 500k? Maybe I'm being stupid, but can't see how this happened unless the bid was rigged somehow.
Maybe one of you can enlighten me as to how this can happen. Thanks!

haven't shared this experience. Maybe try to recreate it so you can document it properly? --------------------------------------- Tigerras's Audits and Third-Party Servicing |

Theres ALLOT OF people bidding on it at the same time, so in fact you and like 50 others where thinking the same thing, while one of you bidders was like... "Wait, I got it?, no way... let me check again...."

In this case the number of bidders remained myself and the eventual winner, using the number of bids as an indicator. The bid count only changed as our bids were accepted.

Was it increments of 1 million or MINIMUM increments of 1 million? Looks like your foe raised his bid by 1.5 million at around the same time you put yours in for 1 million.

The sequence of bids were as follows:
Starting Bid: 5m
Current Bid: 8m, with a minimum of 9m for the next bid.
I bid 9m, received "You are the highest bidder" notification
Next bid is 9.5m. (?)
I bid 10m, received "bid not accepted, as 1m is minimum increment"
I bid 10.5m. "You are highest bidder"
Next bid is 11.0m (an increase of .5m).
At that point I stopped bidding, as there seemed to be two different minimum increments for the same contract, depending on who was bidding.

Bid increment for contract auctions is set at 10% of the starting bid. There is no way to change that as far as I am aware. If the starting bid was 5m, the bid increment would have been 500k.
I don't know why you would have been getting an error telling you the minimum increment was 1m ISK.
