I suppose this isnÆt the first public condemnation of Hilen Tukoss. I also pray that it wonÆt be the last. I imagine û I hope, for the StateÆs sake - that myself and the other right-minded citizens who have made clear their sentiments on Tukoss-hnolkuÆs betrayal of the Caldari people are only the first and second voices in a long procession of public outcry over this private act of treason. The resolution of this matter is now a principle of justice for the Caldari people, and our voices must not be silenced or dampened until Tukoss-hnolku has met a proper end.
Tukoss-hnolkuÆs recent departure to Matari space has cast a long shadow over the Caldari State. A man who was apparently one of our brightest and ablest minds has heaped contempt on his former homeland through his actions. If this were the extent of his injuries to the State it would possibly be excusable to simply forget him the morning after his departure of Caldari space - that would be a response appropriate to any small-scale national embarrassment. However, this is far above the level of a small-scale embarrassment to the State. Hilen Tukoss has jeopardized the collective security of his former countrymen through collaboration with our armed enemies. For an act such as this, no punishment our people are capable of bestowing can be too great.
I wouldn't be doing much if I only passed off harsh words to the public. I very much doubt it would accomplish much for this cause of national vindication. To that end, my organization is prepared to front a 1,500,000,000 ISK bounty to be paid out to whatever party manages to permanently end Hilen TukossÆs existence. The terms of the distribution of the payout are that we will not accept as sufficient proof only one of Tukoss-hnolku's clones; our offer is only good when the last of Hilen TukossÆs clones is destroyed, and when we have been provided or made aware of reliable information proving that such has happened.
It is our understanding that our bounty matches the offer a patriot of the State (if he may accept such a compliment from me) is promising to pay for Hilen TukossÆs live return to the State. This was an intentional parallel on the part of my organization. Simply put, my organization has no interest in preserving Tukoss-hnolkuÆs life, and absolutely no reason to do so. However, so we might be fair to the interests Ishukone and the greater State have in bringing in Tukoss-hnolku alive, we will reward a live capture of the traitor with a half-bounty of $750,000,000 ISK.
We are aware that Hilen Tukoss is heading the so-called ôArekÆJaalan Project.ö We are aware that its professed goals seem to promise substantial benefits for all peoples of New Eden, including the Caldari. We have decided that this does not merit any consideration on our part, nor will it be allowed to affect our judgment. There is no reason the project would be unable to move forward under the leadership of someone other than its current director. We also have not felt that any possible advances or leaps forward that may stem from this project in the future can lessen our judgment on Hilen Tukoss. In light of all possible consequences and developments as far as the ArekÆJaalan Project goes, our bounty will remain in place and in full.
My organization's sentiments are that a death sentence for Tukoss-hnolku's treason is an appropriate response to his defection, and that any other accommodation, no matter how serious or grave, is simply not what this man is entitled to. As has been already stated, outright treason was not this manÆs only option. He was not forced to choose a path that would lead him into the open arms of enemies of the State, as well as into the sights of organizations like my own. To that end, we consider it a matter of justice and national integrity û and nothing more, and certainly nothing less û to do whatever we can to punish his act of betrayal.
As always, "Rukkui dai, lai dai."

Edited by: Andreus Ixiris on 18/07/2011 15:54:46 Pilots should note that The Partisan's offer is insufficient by an order of magnitude to meet the 5,000,000,000 (5 billion) ISK bounty for delivering Hilen Tukoss alive and unharmed to Ethan Verone of Veto Corporation.
Furthermore, any attempts to make good on threats of violence against Hilen Tukoss are likely to unite a diverse range of capsuleers with differing goals against the State.

Or perhaps your delusions of grandeur fool you into thinking you can attempt to have even the remotest chance of influencing my financial actions.
People who matter to me know my ability to be trusted. Clearly from your discourse, you're not one of them.
From what I hear on the grapevine your efforts would be better directed to working a pail with a view to trying to bail out your sinking ship, rather than taking weak and bitter snipes at people on the IGS.

Were our interests not usually so well aligned sweetheart, it would be good fun.
That said, I feel no need to compete. For me, success is not measured by bragging rights regarding how much I can put on the table, but more what and whom happens to be in my pocket.

Thanks for proving my point with your additional diatribe.
I personally don't think Tukoss is worth ten billion. Hell, I don't think he's worth spending money on to summon for a cup o'tea behind reinforced bulkheads and enhanced security in the first place. But Ethan is free to do as he wishes with his fortune.
It's proven that when you two are put together in a metaphorical room all you do is bicker about matters of hubris. Frankly, GalNet is sick of it. You don't need to question the extent of Ethan's coffers, and Ethan doesn't need to respond to you at all.

Toiling away on the mystery of the ancients that old-fashioned way now seems more likely to produce coherent results - if very, very slowly.
Clearly, defection was not a good choice. It would be helpful to identify what could have been done differently in that regard, if only to avoid going through this the next time a distinguished researcher decides to share knowledge for the broader good.

Jade Constantine's comments about Verone's reputation literally made me split a rib laughing.
Trust me, Jade, you think your two-bit manufacturing operation hauls in the big bucks? I've seen the size of Verone's account personally. You, woman, have no ****ing idea what you're talking about, and you should probably just shut up before you make an even bigger fool of yourself. The man gives out ISK in billion-sized installments for people who beat him at drinking games. I can't remember the last time I saw you flying a ship as expensive as the amount he pays people to do tequila suicides. ----- Andreus Ixiris CEO, Mixed Metaphor

I'm guessing thats a euphemism. But frankly a capsuleer who indulges in self-inflicted genetic tampering to induce gigantism as a sop for personality disorder is all likelihood as deficient in his *ahem* account as his other qualities.
You Andreus are nothing but a puling sycophantic insect. Proceed to buzz around the dung of Verone's leavings as your preference but stop bringing these unsanitary predilections to galnet.

You know what I said about looking like more of a fool than you already do? Yeah. Sufficed to say there's no longer advice I can provide to stop that happening.
Remember that you were the one who suggested an alternate meaning of "account", not I - so what's the matter Jade?

Perhaps in your bizarre little fantasies, yes, but I have the unfortunate burden of living in reality. It's a rather desolate place here, so I don't blame you for going somewhere else - but could I possibly ask you to do us the courtesy of retreating there entirely? Categorise for me how by anyone's standards other than your own (which the vast majority of the cluster knows are so utterly divorced from reality as to be farcical), you "humiliated" Verone. Currently I see that by dint of combat efficiency, the only metric that really matters to a pirate corporation, Veto - when they pay attention to you at all, and not to more important matters - wipe the floor with you in nearly every engagement they choose to undertake with Fraction pilots.
The truth is, Jade, and of course, you will never admit this, not even to yourself - you're envious. You're envious of the success and respect that Veto Corporation have attained. You're envious of the success and respect that Ethan Verone has attained. You're envious of the fact that this corporation - a pirate corporation, the epitome of greed and self-interest at the expense of others - garners infinitely more fear and respect among the capsuleers of New Eden than your entire alliance, which is supposedly dedicated to the liberation and uplift of the entire human race. Heck, you're envious of (not to mention pretty damn mad at) the fact that Verone affords me more time and attention than you, and takes me, of all people, more seriously as a capsule pilot in New Eden than you.
Why else would you have been literally screaming at your own members not to take losses when RK and Veto assaulted your towers?

That took you quite a while to write that little screed Andreus. Yet the reality remains that your idol was humiliated and his protectorate entity (moira) scattered with an eliminated HQ. History is unkind to liars.

History is indeed unkind to liars. You know, and the rest of the cluster knows - and the rest of the cluster knows you know - that Moira is not a "protectorate entity" of Veto. You know that CVA have no relation to Moira other than that they both dislike you, yet you still include them in the same campaign on your killboard. You know that the only truly "allied" factions - by their own assent - are Rote Kapelle and Veto. You know that the only reason they assist Moira is because all three entities share a mutual enemy - you. You know that if Moira's enemy was anyone other than you, Veto would most likely not give a bag of fedos about it. You know Veto couldn't give a damn whether that tower lived or died, except that it was a hindrance to you.
And more importantly, the entire cluster knows that you know these things. They know the reason you grouped all those entities together on your killboard was because if you combine the numbers right, it makes it look like Star Fraction's winning the numbers war. But Moira's managed to trash a damn sight more in ISK than it's lost, and so has everyone other than CVA - for whom the justification for including as an ally of Moira was beyond even farcical.
The point is, Jade - everyone knows you're lying! Everyone! They don't need me to point it out!
If anyone was humiliated in this conflict, it would be you. You've constantly had to remind people that you're not, in fact, losing. You've put far more effort into making sure to tell people that than I ever have into writing these little gems. You blew a tower up, Jade. Congratulations. Want a medal? A few years back, the alliance I was with used to do that twice, maybe three times in one day. Moira can afford the ships to take you down to a 38% combat efficiency rating. You really think they can't replace that tower if they want to?
And again, why would you be screaming at your own members if it was really all going so well?
You really do live in a little fantasy land. ----- Andreus Ixiris CEO, Mixed Metaphor

Unless of course the K/D ratio wasn't our measure and we only cared about removing Moira's HQ and counted EVERYONE who attempted to stop us alongide Moira being literally on their side in this context. Shock horror - imagine that!

No, but keep insisting that the - without exception - entirely incorrect conclusions you've been making since the thread started are correct - it's harder to argue with you if you admit your mistakes. You are right that I'm talking to someone, though, and they did point out how amusing it is that the members your alliance is hemorrhaging all just happen to be turning up in Veto.

Well I'm not sure what your point is Andreus but its hardly surprising is it. A month ago we had a war against a Veto protectorate and your idol promised dark and terrible things were going to happen to the Fraction as punishement for going against his will. After these windy-boasts a whole lot of manipulative mindgaming and shady activity followed.
Why exactly is it strange that an enemy organization is targeted for headhunting? Its Veto's modus operandi - strip down opposing organizations to the bone through infiltration/destabalization to achieve what cannot be achieved in space.
All things considered I think we're probably lucky it was just two pilots. Other organizations targeted in this way have been gutted of dozens down to their constituent lonesome CEOs.
End of the day its all grist to the mill of revolution. Some comrades fall by the wayside and join the imperialist lackeys - its been happening for eight years, all part of life's rich tapestry.
A genuinely amusing statistic for you Andreus is that Star Fraction has probably had more turncoats in our time than your organization ever had members. Might be worth dwelling on that for a moment.

Finding appropriate quotes is not the height of accomplishment Andreus. One doesn't always need to be guided by the past you know; often it is possible to discover our truth and aspirations from personal dreams and ambitions. Your allegations of "unfounded assumptions" are just that - allegations and as little founded. If you have found my innuedo disturbing then I can only imagine that its cut a little bit too close to the truth for your comfort level.
Reality is Andreus you really would like to join Veto but they probably wouldn't have you. Hence you do this little yapping lost-dog act every time somebody dares to criticise your idol. Its a bit tragic.

Your allegations of "unfounded assumptions" are just that - allegations and as little founded.
You made baseless assumptions about Verone's ability to finance a ten-billion ISK sum. This, to anyone who knows the slightest bit about Verone, is not only baseless but wrong.
You made baseless assumptions about my relationship with Veto. If I were a "vassal" of Veto, that wouldn't be a mark of shame for me. I'd be working for one of the most widely-respected pirate corporations of EVE. But the fact is, Veto don't have vassals, I'm not one, and I wouldn't need to hide it if I was.
You made baseless assumptions about my relationship with Ethan Verone himself. I don't idolise the man. Deeply respect and - here's me being honest - envy him a little, but his path is not mine. He's a pirate. He's a Gurista. These aren't things I wish to be right now - probably ever. But he's competent, honest, loyal and a good friend of mine. We don't agree on everything. There are some things I wouldn't do if he asked me.
And although I know that it amuses you to fantasize otherwise for whatever pathological reason, our relationship is entirely platonic, and I'm perfectly fine with it staying that way.
You made baseless assertions about Moira's relationship with Veto. You assume that everyone who dislikes you is in a single bloc. No. There are pilots and organisations from all walks of life who think you're a preening, arrogant tart and your corporation follows your example.
Originally by: Jade Constantine If you have found my innuedo disturbing then I can only imagine that its cut a little bit too close to the truth for your comfort level.
No, I find it disturbing that your mind immediately jumps to sexual assumptions regarding my relationships. That suggests you have at least once thought of me in a sexual manner, which with almost anyone else would be flattering, but in your case fills me with deep revulsion and loathing.
Originally by: Jade Constantine Reality is Andreus you really would like to join Veto
I have considered it in the past. My considerations have not been universally favourable.
Originally by: Jade Constantine but they probably wouldn't have you.
Again, you have made a baseless assertion without the neccessary facts to back it up. I think I could write mathematical algorithms to statistically predict your responses down to the word choice and I don't think they'd be wrong all that often. ----- Andreus Ixiris CEO, Mixed Metaphor
