Hi Guys,
I was hoping you could help me out regarding moon mining and building t2 components. I've already analyzed basic info regarding moon mining, the minerals rarity and etc. What I am looking for now is info about reactions, and what materials are needed for T2 components.
My goal now is to go out and scan the moons i want to anchor. But still haven't found info to what kind of moons to look for (what reactions i really want to do).
Thanks for your help!

Your question really isn't very specific. So, let's start with the basics: multiple moon mins -> simple reaction -> simple products. Multiple simple products -> complex reaction -> complex products. Complex products and other materials -> T2 components. What you could do is build a production tree starting at the T2 components and working your way back to the basic moon mins, or you could look up the very thorough guide here.
Deciding what to mine and what to produce will mostly depend on what moons you have access to. In my experience there are 2 ways of deciding. 1: put together spreadsheets and do the complicated math to figure out which of the moons that you have access to will not only cover fuel costs, but also be worth the time and energy it takes to babysit your POSes. or 2: look for POSes out there that are doing heavy moon mining/reactions, evaluate the owning alliance's PVP capabilities, and take the moon from them forcefully. My experience is that if you don't have the PVP firepower to take a moon, you will only hold it until someone notices your operation and decides to take it from you.
For less valuable moons, moon mining cheap stuff can help subsidize fuel costs, but you probably won't break even, but in that case, it won't really matter what you harvest. Someone could come siege the less valuable POS for kicks and giggles, but knowing your neighbors will help you manage that (by averting attacks, or having the friendly firepower to come defend it.)
Ultimately, my advice is to figure out your options, figure out what would be the most profitable of those options, go for it, but don't put in more isk than your corp can afford to lose. Odds are, if you are doing it without the guidance of a more experienced player, you'll probably lose the investment eventually (hopefully after it's already paid for itself) but at least you'll have learned something for when you're ready to do it on a bigger scale.

Moon mining + reactions thread with profitability spreadsheet. This post in another thread contains another spreadsheet that (among other things) contains the component makeout too. And then there's this one (much older, not recently updated, but the relevant parts are still valid) that has a spreadsheet containing profitability of building the components from advanced materials.

By "scan" you mean "look at dotlan", right?
Because man are you in for some needless punishment, otherwise.

Well to save your time you need 2 materials from a moon for a simple reaction, then you need 2-3 simple reaction materials for one complex reaction. That means you would need to mine 3-4 different moons for just one full reaction chain of single T2 material component and if you think that any alliance no matter how small just lets you mine & profit from their moon goo you're in a big trouble.
So let's assume you're an alt and you actually do have those moons; next thing is to pop out T2 part bpc and put it in 'the oven' with the rest and you have your T2 component.

Not every moon's contents are recorded on dotlan, but it is a good place to look first.
