While your computer setup looks awesome and I've not seen anything so over the top (the amount of computers you have running the screens), I was running 14 chars over 12 screens, on one computer why not spend the money on some eyefinity 6 cards, some uber hardware and have 24 screens running off one pc? That would be much more uber :P

Yes 2 extra 20A circuits were run to the offi- er grammy's basement. Not sure where someone saw an exposed socket... you can click the pictures to see large versions and it will be clearer. Honestly the noise isn't bad at all with the new cases but that may be because I was used to the airplane sound of the last ones. 120mm fans are generally quiet and the vid cards and CPU's have low noise coolers.

Impressive setup. Why do you have eight computers running this? I can't imagine a reason for more than 3 or so.
You really need to look at ISBoxer / Inner Space; this software allows me to launch all six of my clients with a single action and allows me to broadcast mouse/keyboard action to all or some of my clients regardless of weather or not they are on the same computer.
I shudder to think of how problematic and time consuming synergy may have been to set up.
I am very impressed with how your screens are suspended!
I can't imagine ever having that many screens, but I said that when I had three screens. Now I have six. (I once had eight but that proved to problematic (they were CRT and took up to much space).

Mining is one of the few occupations in EVE that scales well with # of accounts being multiboxed. I find that dual boxing mission running accounts takes up all of my attention as it is. The other possibility is if he maneuvers all of his UI elements such that he can duplicate mouse and keyboard events across all 26 accounts.
Now that I think about it, with some software and careful planning, you could actually manage an entire fleet this way: Simply guarantee that all accounts have the same type of module in each slot - ie have all warp scramblers in medium slot 1, all propulsion mods in medium slot 2, all grouped turrets in high slot 1, etc...
With some even more careful planning, you might even get RR to work with such a set up.

I had an idea for EVE that imo would make this setup a lot more usable as well as anyone wanting to multibox. I'm sure I'm not the first to think of this. I thought of this while doing lvl 4's, they're doable with two accounts but with three it's more of a pain n the ass than anything, but I'd still like to use three Tengu's for lvl 4s.
Imagine being able to directly access your hud/modules and targets of all your accounts on just one window. They would still need to be logged in their own window but you would be able to control them remotely. Basically you would see an icon of the face of one or more of your alt(s) it's hud and targets. Clicking on their face switches the ship you're controlling along with the option somewhere to switch the camera to their perspective allowing you to maneuver that ship if needed without changing windows.
As an added bonus you could make it mandatory/automatic to turn off the overview on the alts when they're in range of the main since you won't need them anyways. I imagine this would offset some of the lag (maybe not a lot but still).
Better support for multiboxing is something a lot of EVE players have wanted for a long time. This could make multiboxing in pvp feasible and imo a feature like this would give EVE an even more unique and appealing feature set.

On average, you finish a site for 7 minutes, every character in the fleet get 10.75m. Times that by 20 every 7 minutes you earned, which is 215m every 7 minutes. Holy **** :O ----------------------------------- Peace through power! |

I'm sure CCP calls this a Massively Multiplayer Online game somewhere, the point of which is to play with and against a lot of people.
If your priority is to wallow in solitude, you've missed the point of the game. And any game that makes this the default behavior for players has missed the point of MMOs.
While I believe the latter is true with EVE to a shameful extent, thankfully, this particular case of complete ineptitude is self-inflicted.
I hope this answer was satisfactory, space friend.

What's your point? That his priority with his computers should lay elsewhere then in eve? What on earth does it matter how many computers you have? Shouldn't your own priority lay elsewhere then eve? Apparently he likes to play with this many accounts and has enough money to afford it, we are not to judge=P.
Money and time is all relative, some people like to devote their lifes to making money, other's try to balance it out, there's also people who don't give a **** about their money and just spend it as soon as they have it. I don't really think it matters, you only live once afaik. (At least the money doesn't transfer with you to some other place, I assume.) So yeah. Uhhu? But yeah, we're humans, we like to ***** on eachother, that's why forums are so entertaining.
Exactly, and *****ing on you is precisely what I am doing right now :P

Of course we are to judge, why else would he have posted about his rig at all? EDIT: In fact, the OP is actually asking us to judge...

Holy ****, those are allot of quotes o.O. Are you a lawyer in real life or something xD? You're good at twisting other people's words.
Priority's =! High priority's btw, just you browsing these forums already prove that you're involved with eve, or at least stuff that _can be_ looked upon as 'not very productive'?
And I'm not sure if he's asking us to judge him, rather ask for an opinion. Anyway, do you genuinely believe that he needs to put his priority's elsewhere? Or are you just saying it to **** him off... =P? Just wondering. -----------------------------------------------

Honestly, I am just seriously bored and twisting words are a way to pass the time :P and yeah, Eve is naturally a priority for me too, else I wouldn't be here (like you said) but I doubt my Eve-priority is as high as the OPs. Also, in my eyes, having an opinion about something someone is doing is basicly the same as judging them. And yeah, I do think that rig the OP has is an overkill (though I strongly doubt it got built for the sole purpose of playing Eve). I should perhaps have chosen some other words to describe it, but as I said, I'm bored. And when I'm bored i automatically provoke ppls :P

Haha, I see your point yes. Admittedly I am also a bit bored, hence I browse the forums. Which I enjoy, obviously. And judging people is fun I suppose, most people judge others. I think that judging people isn't a bad thing per see, it's more about how they take it. Not everybody has a thick skin I guess.
But when I come to think of it...I was actually judging you, because you were judging the OP. =P
Edit; Are you dutch? Just wondering because of something you said. -----------------------------------------------

Pray tell what the point of Eve is. Please tell it as outlined by the authors (reference-able material) not by your own preconceived perceptions.
Then surely you will acknowledge, that to play Eve IS the point, regardless of how much hardware you throw at it.
I'm sure CCP calls this a Massively Multiplayer Online game somewhere, the point of which is to play with and against a lot of people.
I've almost as often heard people refer to EVE as a sandbox, or sandbox MMO. As such, in my opinion, there is no 'wrong' way to enjoy EVE. Since we're talking about their vision of EVE, I might as well point out CCP has always been keen to promote multiple account ownership, e.g. via repeated power of 2 deals and the buddy scheme.
Besides, even if Zhek acts as his own fleet and FC some of the time, I doubt he totally avoids contact with other players. --- 34.4:1 mineral compression |

I think that's a horrific waste of money that could have been put towards either a new car, better living accommodations, extra classes or insurance.
I sure as **** wouldn't buy a massive rig like that. I can't imagine how hot it's going to get in that room, and what your power bill will be every month.
I sure hope your solo incursions are worth it.
How do you know he can't/doesn't have all those things as well?
I could afford to do this if I wanted to quite easily (with a much approving gaming wife) but I would never make the mistake of asking others "what do you think?" I don't have as many monitors but I do have 12 working Eve able PC's...
