I have even thought about a amarr cruiser so I having a hard time. which faction has the best cruiser? I need to make up my mind before going into mining operations and battles.

Of your choices, the Thorax is probably best suited for combat (at least at very close ranges). I'd go with it. But personally a Minmatar ship is better suited for general use, as their autocannons can hit targets outside of ten kilometers due to their long falloff range while at the same time delivering plenty of damage.

Pilot,
I would strongly advise against the Thorax in favor of the Caracal. In short, amongst other things (including aesthetics..), the Thorax has very poor accuracy. I used the Thorax for some time and ended up blowing it up with my Drake in disgust.
Trust me, get the Caracal.

yeah, I have a Vexor not a bad ship but I wanted a ship with good speed and missile batteries so I could hit a knock out blow or something like that or a ship with a good cargo hold. Maybe I should wait and train for a battle ship next, maybe...

yeah if you want a knock out blow then your best bet is to train for the battle ship and even then it depends on what you're shooting at.

Finding a ship with both speed and missile batteries will be tough, because Caldari ships (which possess excellent and plentiful missile batteries) are not renowned for being particularly fast unless the capsuleer commanding it is skilled at navigation. With that being said, a Caracal probably sounds like the ship for you.
Or if you want a ship with guns, missiles, speed, drones, and a sizeable cargo bay the Bellicose is actually a fine ship, but it will require much tranining in all of those systems.

As the variety of opinions may have already illuminated for you...
There is no "best" cruiser for you to fly. They all operate under different principles and can be adapted to suit your personal preferences and flying style. The trick is to find one that suits you.
The Thorax tends to be very close range with decent armor to take hits while it closes range. Once in range, the blasters it will be fit with tend to unleash devastation on their targets. The major drawbacks to this style of flight (if you choose to use the Thorax this way) is that it is extremely close range, relies heavily on propulsion to close range and has difficulty dealing with ranged cruisers such as the Caracal. The advantage is that it is also quite capable of dealing with frigates and smaller ships due to the excellent tracking of blasters.
The Maller is an extremely durable cruiser. It is often very difficult to bring one down, but it lacks the firepower of some of the more popular cruiser choices. You may find it works significantly better with autocannons than it does with lasers (again depending on your flight style), or you may find that not worrying about propulsion and relying on the quick adaptability of lasers will allow you to control range without much difficulty. The primary disadvantage to the Maller is that it has difficulty being fit for anything beyond extreme durability.
I could go into more detail about each cruiser, but I am not the final authority on these things. The point I'm making is that what is "best" for you will take some time and practice for you to determine. Try a few things out, find out what you're comfortable with and then select your cruiser to maximize that flying style.

Excellent tracking of blasters? Entertaining. I haven't heard that one in a while.
On the topic of cruisers, de gustibus non est disputandum, but I think with a Rupture or an Arbitrator you'll get most 'bang for the buck', colloquially said.

To clarify and avoid any misunderstandings, blasters have more or less the same tracking values than autocannons if you compare raw numbers. The thing that makes blasters less permissive is simply the fact that they do not have the same falloff abilities. Though some gallente ships are specifically made to add some additionnal tracking to their weaponry. |

You're a combat pilot; why say such a thing? You know just as well as I do that without speed you cannot dictate range, which means you risk your target "kiting" you or running away. And anyway, I was using some engineering software and found a fast yet durable Maller fit that can go around 1.5 km/s. While not terribly fast that's acceptable.

Amarrian tactics dictate getting close and staying close. Pirates may need to skirt in and out of danger while picking off lone targets, but fleet pilots just need to be able to get in scrambler and web range. I can't heal stupid

See, we don't have a fleet. We have maybe ten pilots at most in our squads, but never a huge Amarrian-style fleet. So admittedly we do use outlaw-style tactics, which are preferable for a solo pilot anyway (thus making them relevant for a single pilot asking for help on the IGS about ships and fittings). ------- I spy with my third eye crimson clouds beyond the horizon... |

If you want mining AND battles you need a Scythe, 20% bonus to mining laser yield per level. You can fit 2 launchers and 3 turrets to it, So it has room to fit everything you need, don't forget to use different ammo types in each gun so you do more damage.

Do I wear the black pants, or do I wear the blue pants? The agony of making such an important decision! Without advice from my peers, I shudder to think of the repercussions of choosing an unfashionable colour. Could you imagine the embarrassment of wearing white, or even beige coloured pants? If you're looking for a good general purpose cruiser, I would recommend the Vexor.
I know it lacks the missile hardpoints you were after, but it ticks all the other boxes - resilient, large drone bay, can take part in mining ops thanks to mining drone bonuses, and a formidable choice when engaging other capsuleers if fit with a large buffer. -----------------------------------------------

Sorry Kerron,
Please don't allow my inane ramblings to dissuade you on your quest to annoy everyone on the IGS with pathetic, unimportant questions relating to nothing even remotely entertaining or interesting.
May I suggest your next desperate attempt to grasp attention from the general populous be in the form of yet another IGS thread, but this time asking the community a more relevant question. You could try something really unique and start a poll to find out how many people think your prior posts serve no real purpose, and whether if every idiot looking to make a name for themselves did the same as you, the IGS would become a cesspool of unintelligent musings about pointless mining operations and the occasional ship loss.
You, Sir, embody everything thatĘs wrong with New Eden and the inhabitants living within it. If you really must make a thread to try and gain some credible attention, at least read some of the previous topics and try to strive for something a little more exciting than a query as to which ship you should fly next.

But asking what cruiser I should get to be a better smuggler and get into the trade business for my company, come on!!some people in this galaxy have nothing better to do than to insult others.
