I've been using my trusty '09 MacBook Pro 13" with Bootcamp, running Windows 7 X64 for the passed year.
While I've gotten used to switching between the OS's for my needs, I'd really like to try using OSX full time now that I've recently installed Lion.
I've even managed to fiddle around with the Nvidia Graphics Control and nTune and managed to over clock my MacBook by around 11-14% whilst being stable.
I'm willing to forgo some of the eye candy a bit if it means I can play decently on the Mac side.
Does the client still dramatically cause lag amongst the rest of the system while it's minimized or in windowed mode?
Is the frame rate dramatically different?
Is it now possible to play with two clients decently? Does the client still run multiple clients at full even while minimized or does it do something akin to what the Windows side does (Cuts frames to 0FPS on minimized client)?
Or is just as bad as was when I gave up on it? Asking here so I don't have to waste bandwidth installing it again.
;(

Well, it depends.
That's probably not the answer you wanted to read. EVE is EVE is EVE, whether you play it under OS X or Windows, since all it is, is an unmodified Windows client wrapped in a Cider-Windows-emulation wrapper.
So, yes. Cider did improve somewhat. I can play it fairly well on my 27" iMac, but of course EVE will always run better under Windows due to its nature. If that doesn't bother you, I would say go ahead and give it a try. It really comes down to personal preference.
Just stay away from very high resolutions. (2560x1440) Cider seems to have an issue with these.
Hope that helped a bit.
