Good old simple poll to try and wet ccp's apetite enough so they implament this in the NEX for aurum.
Simply +1 here if you would purchase this ability on any of your characters, or even use it to make a new one

Wait until they have enough people to replace the ones that leave due to this change. EVE. The most ambitious project on earth. |

+1 for restat
-1 for buy sp
even though arguably they could be considered to be similar, the SP gain from buying restat wouldn't be enough to unbalance the leveling system, I fear that buying SP would unbalance the leveling system

This is one of those "nice for some individual gamers, bad for the game as a whole" proposals. So, no.

Whet, not wet. You want to incite/excite/stimulate, not make soggy/wrinkly/clammy.

Deffinatly not, It would mean those with tons of SP would simply max out in flavor of the month ships all the time, which would compltely ruin Eve itself.

So youa re saying that a level playingground where it takes skill and knowledge in the game wouldnt be more entertaining?
Just thought as well, this would stop the illegal account selling on various auction websites.

I have well trained 1 year old indy char and I'm not sure what to do with it while I could use logistics alt right now (which will take at least 8 months to train to perfection).
But that will be the end of "classic" EVE (if inexpensive - like $50). Instead of creating cap/logi/indy alt - one can purchase crappy character and respec it. Quick money for CCP - but overwhelming amount of "trendy pilots" (tengus, spacepriests, caps, PvP minnies etc). Still - everything has its end - include "classic EVE" - so why not?

You'd have more luck with this troll attempt if you didn't use it with a monocle char. Save that for the 'peasant'-posts. G/L -

B: Why even bother? if your going to dole out SP/Respecs like condoms at a brothel then why not just skip the whole sha-bang and set everyone to level 5 in every skill?
Why bother having differences in Skill training if they are made completely irrelevant?

+1 from me. I want to be able to drop $300-500 ingame on an alt and be able to fly faction cruisers for ganking in 30 minutes.

Honestly, if an sp buying feature was already implemented, I would probably buy a year's worth of SP immediately. However, if we're at the stage where such a feature is merely a possibility (which is where we are right now), I would urge some limits be considered to avoid breaking the game. Sure, it might be a nice boost to new players, but I'm sure that the large alliances would find nasty ways to abuse it.

Well just put the cash in an Envelope and send it to CCP's HQ with your list of skill demands and i'm sure the'll have to delivered in 30 mins or less from the time hell freezes over and and mick Jagger wins peoples sexiest man alive award.

If they sold SP at a sensible (low) price, I'd buy some to tidy up my skillsheet. Not sure I'd want to blow a small fortune training up for captials and the like, though. I don't have anywhere near the PvP experience to use them properly.

Id rather purchase a recovery. I have 4.5m Sp on a char I don't play. If I could apply that to one of the other characters on my same account that is just reassigning my sp I earned. Id pay a plex for it..and its not creating it from thin air. I skilled that guy and babysat evening but since mining sucks I rerolled a logistics pilot new and would like to put that sp on this guy. Anything wrong with that?

That is comming too.. Old returning characters will be able to "catch up" on SP for a fee.

No. We are saying that respecing/buying SP will cause a boring game where people fly flavor of the month ships. There is nothing entertaining about 2x 100 man gangs fighting each other when every pilot in both gangs is in a Drake.
What you should be asking for is more ship balance to make everyones choice, no matter what race they fly, a good choice.

How about a "Pay Aurum to cause Selected Pilot to lose 1% of their SPs" ??
That seems like a much more interesting idea - MAKE IT SO!

Why are you all voting in something that doesn't matter?
I already stated and CCP have stated in their press interview that paying for remaps (respecs) is something they want.
I have shown you the reftypeID's for the wallet journal that are in place NOW ready for it.

For the small shred of hope that maybe this wont be introduced if we show good reasons to keep it out of game.

I guess you missed the part where CCP said it is comming in their press interview and you also missed the part where it is in partially in the game code NOW.
