Go see this movie.
I wasn't even a real fan of the comics or anything, but this was solid all the way through.

It's yet another superhero hollywood movie... Nothing special, IMHO not worth watching, even though I watched it out of boredom. ùùù ôWe want to try this thing called micro-transactions, but we don't know what it is. Can anyone explainà aw screw it, let's just do it! What could go wrong?ö ù ÇÇP |

This doesn't make sense to me... I find the superhero hollywood movies very entertaining. They're not as deep as the comics, sure, but they're usually very entertaining.
Iron Man and Iron Man 2 were great. Thor wasn't bad. Green Lantern was fun. X-Men movies were fun; First Class was 'meh'.
Definitely looking forward to Cpt. America.

Heh, funny, but your views are positioned almost diametrically opposite most critics. Iron man flics are deemed "good"(1st) and "meh"(2nd). Thor is "good". Green Lantern, "bad" to "infuriatingly bad"(to actual comic geek critics). X-Men ranged from "OK"(1st) and steadily going towards "OMG my brain just dripped out of my ears" First Class is "the best" to them.
That said, maybe I¦ll finally manage to drag my ass to the movies and catch one of them hero flics. _ .. darn |

Thor was hellagay! First Class possibly the better of all the X-Men movies.
That being said the genre do bring together a wide range of viewers, it's like it's the lowest common denominator, just above p*rn.

I liked Thor but The green lantern has too much story and not enough time to tell it. Iron man rocks.
Cpt America is going to be a selfish pro America popoganda movie but ill watch it anyway because ****es always make good bad guys and I will more than likely love it.

First Class had some of the stupidest mutant powers I have ever seen. One chick with faerie wings that hocked loogies on people, a homo-erotic kid that shouted at the ocean, and a kid who could "adapt" to anything except indigestion. |

in all honesty, one of the best captain america comics was the Marvel Civil war.
it actually made Cap quite... understandable, from an european's POV. ---

I really enjoyed Thor - was my favorite comic book character when I was a kid and the movie did him justice I thought.
Iron Man was great, mostly because of Robert Downey Jr.
Haven't seen Cap yet but I expect I will enjoy it immensely.
For a truly great comic-book movie, Kick-Ass is hard to beat! __________________________________________________ Name a shrub after me; something prickly and hard to eradicate. |

I wasn't overly impressed by Captain America. Perhaps my taste for average-quality action flicks has been dulled by the deluge of comic book spin-off's this decade, but on the whole I couldn't get past the weak plot and fairly shallow characters. Seems like they could have done an epic film on the scale of The Watchmen with it, but instead chose to leave it fairly quick and dirty. In any event, it wasn't a total dissapointment and the acting was good. I'd rate it 7 of 10.
I would go into more detail, but i'd rather not start tossing spoilers out this early or perhaps we shoulds start a marked *SPOILER ALERT* thread. vOv

Hmm, they slapped some Tool on the trailer, that has to be an automatic seal of approval.

Yeah I didn't really like the Spider-Man movies. Still not as bad as Phantom Menace, though.

Agreed. The movie kicked ass... The Red Skull was especially cool I thought. May have to go see it again honestly.
And contrary to what you might think, the movie was not all "YAY! FREEDOM!!! USA USA USA!!!" There wasn't anything remotely like that sentiment. Instead you got a nice war movie with super weapons. What's not to love?
