I'm concerned that I may have gone a bit too far with my first remap to int/mem. Started this char on Jan 3rd, 2011 and remapped rather impulsively to int/mem. This is going to be my PVP combat alt heading to null. My main is industrialist, hauler, L4s, carebear and will be financial support for this guy. This character has the 2nd of the first two remaps coming up in 6 weeks (available now but want to finish some things listed below). I will have spent about 8.5 months on int/mem.
The next 6 weeks is spent on ( in this order ): Energy Emissions V EW IV ( for drone range later ) Energy Pulse V Hull Upgrades V Salvaging IV ( slight OCD here ) Remote Armor IV Remote Hull IV Armor Comps IV Shield Rigging IV Electronic Sup Rigging IV Astronautics Rigging IV Repair Systems V Jury Rigging IV
One of my main concerns is that I won't have enough combat support stuff to fill for the next int/mem remap. My other concern is that I will be missing some skills for the next year.
After the remap, obviously it's all guns, ships, and drones (per/wil). I'm debating doing a month of ewar stuff now rather than later. I'd prefer later since I really don't care about it and may never do it.
With that said, will I miss anything in the next year? Will I have enough combat support to train for the year after that? I think the 2nd question is answered with EW, JDO, JDC, JFC, CSO, CSES, etc to V. In case it gets asked, I do plan on cross training ( maybe Gallente or Amarr ).

First impression of your skill sheet is it does look like you went a little overboard, but I guess it depends on what you find enjoyable in eve. I think a lot of the time people put way too much emphasis on training optimzation, but of course that's just my opinion.
I have an alt that was started ~20 days after your character and he has only just under 12 mil sp and is a fully functional pvp character. I did some focused training, but I didn't get carried away. Imo get training your gunnery/spaceship command skills and start having some fun with the character.

You've got alot of nice skills there. A bit of input from a quick look on your skills:
Things I'd imaging you won't need: Energy pulse V
Suggestions: Armor rigging IV Biology V (For when using drugs - consider getting Nanite control and Neurotoxin recovery to IV) Cybernetics V Science V => Graviton physics IV (for HIC's and dictor's)
Nice to have: Astrometrics V (for deep space probes) Acceleration control V A couple of the rigging skills for your main weapon systems to III or IV Remote repair systems V Repair Systems IV
Regarding your final question; I'd consider keeping those skills on your alt, then moving it to 0.0 when ready. You will find that alt's make 0.0 living a lot easier.

Great responses. I appreciate it very much.
KLizMaN, in hindsight you're probably right. Consider this a case study for future generations. I was able to do this "12mil combat with no dps char" only because I used my main for everything so far.
Ryuce, I was getting Energy Pulse V because I might end up in a corp/alliance who wants a disco BS. That's the thinking anyway. I'll be taking that one off since it's really a tiny chance I'll ever need it.
Graviton physics IV ... wow, how could I have missed this one. Great suggestion.

Edited by: Svalentine2 on 27/07/2011 17:03:17 I totally feel your pain soc10path, I did a remap to int/mem when I set my new skill plan into motion last week and didn't even think of my gunnery skills. I am set to train the list below over the next 48 days while mapped int/mem:
Energy Management IV Thermodynamics I Shield Compensation I Thermodynamics II Shield Compensation II Acceleration Control II Thermodynamics III Thermodynamics IV Acceleration Control III Acceleration Control IV Evasive Maneuvering III Evasive Maneuvering IV Electronic Warfare III Electronic Warfare IV Energy Systems Operation IV Explosive Shield Compensation IV Kinetic Shield Compensation IV Shield Compensation III EM Armor Compensation III Shield Compensation IV EM Armor Compensation IV Explosive Armor Compensation III Explosive Armor Compensation IV Kinetic Armor Compensation III Kinetic Armor Compensation IV Thermic Armor Compensation III Thermic Armor Compensation IV Targeting III Targeting IV Energy Emission Systems IV Shield Rigging III Mechanic V Electronics Upgrades V Navigation V Warp Drive Operation IV Warp Drive Operation V Evasive Maneuvering V
My gank is gimped enough to keep me out of a Battle Ship until I can use one of my two remaining remaps to go per/wil so I can run down my gunnery/drone/spaceship command/subsystems plan. Fortunately I think my skills are strong enough to bring some Hurricane Pain (TM) to my playmates and my survivability will only get stronger as I finish up this navigation plan. I can shave this list down by 3d 6h if I am willing to shell out 300+ million iskies for +5 int/mem/per implants but these are always at risk in my line of work.
edit: My skills

You might want to consider the subsystem skills for T3s. Electronics, Engineering and Defensive Systems are all Int/Mem and getting all 3 to V for one race's ships would only take about 10 days. You can get them to IV in about a day and a half.

*sigh* now I am stuck int/mem for 66.5 days, or 62 if I go ahead and spring for +5 int/mem implants (which I will). Figure if I am int/mem might as well push the Min Offensive to V also. I want a Loki!
