Now before I start i mean invest myself not in shares or other people ;p
What would be a good way to get approx 50b working for me as opposed to sitting idle in my wallet earning me nothing?
T2 bpo ? Mothership bpo ?
Ideally I want this to be pretty passive requiring the intital tower and a few clicks now and then.

I think there are 2 very good answers at the very least, but (like many others) it isn't information you just throw around on public forums. I can also guarantee many giving advice like "buy technetium!" probably have a vested interest in the form giant stack in their hangar...
On the other hand, I would absolutely not recommend a T2 BPO unless it's a very high profile T2 BPO that's in a class of its own, like a Hulk BPO. Of course even crappy T2 BPOs that make no isk go for 10B+ regularly... I'd just stay away from this inflated market. So many people (like you) with tons of isk just end up buying a T2 BPO because they don't know what to buy. Also, datacores are going to continue to tank, and T2 will be further devalued.
I'd stay away from motherships, but my opinion is fairly uninformed as I have no idea what profits look like. I do know that motherships are absolutely the ace card in 0.0 cap ship combat currently, and I fully expect a nerf to supercarriers sooner than later. I bet alliances are pumping out motherships instead of titans these days en masse, and that's not something I'd want to step into the arena with.

Very, very good advice.
Also, buy 50b in Fullerides. >30% return incoming.

Whatever you do end up doing - Don't dump everything into "one thing". (assuming this is >80% of your savings)
Spread it out.
Slightly more work sure, but you'll sleep better at night :-)

Don't be a *****. Dump everything into one item, make 30-50% return in one month, and laugh mirthlessly to yourself in you computer chair while greed-induced spittle dribbles off your chin.

Like in RL, spread your risk around. Don't invest all your isk in one thing or one person. Put some isk into certain BPOs, you can do some market trading or you can invest in other people's ideas and let them do the hard work and you make the isk.
I run my own bond investment fund paying 6% monthly for instance. But there are other funds out there as well and I am sure that you can find a good one to invest with. But like others have said as well, don't put all your isk in one place and don't invest any more than you would be willing to lose should an investment go south.

Don't give money to anyone unless you're doing it purely for the rp/fun aspect. It is the absolute worst thing you can do with your savings.
