So here's a question...
Is it still feasible for Sovereignty to still be claimed out there somewhere? Is their no frontier left to claim? If not, Will CCP ever expand adding new systems that will be able to be claimed?

Adding new systems would make the old ones less valuable. Most 0.0 space is significantly underpopulated as is.
if you want space, you have to work (that's fight or pay) for it, that's the point of the game.
Anyway, unclaimed space wouldn't be left unclaimed just waiting for you to claim it. Those who have already far too much will take it willingly in a matter of hours (:

@OP, you must live in Empire...
Looks like sovereignty changes hands pretty frequently.
Fun Edits: If you were around when Dominion dropped you would remember a time when entire constellations and swaths of space in the game went unclaimed for six months or so.

Spoken like a true Empire Dweller.
More systems won't increase the ability of smaller alliances to claim space - the big entities will just kick you to the curb. Changes are needed to the SOV system so that SOV is determined by Player activity, instead of Supercap blobs, if you ever want to increase the number of null space entities.
Alternatively, you could increase the LY distance between every system (just use a simple 1.5x multiplier for all of space) which would have the impact of severely nerfing JumpDrives and JumpBridges.. making it much harder for bit entities to control as many systems as currently.

Q: Is it still feasible for Sovereignty to still be claimed out there somewhere?
A: Yes! But a few rules apply.
1.) You must be an asshat. 2.) You must be able to run multiple clients with macros. *Optional- Helps to pay for your landlord's monocle. 3.) You must particpate in CTA blobs. 4.) You must own a MONOCLE. **Mandatory

Edited by: Kalle Demos on 28/07/2011 18:06:02 Managing large amounts of space and a large alliance is time consuming, (Note: It ISNT hard), it is so time consuming that you will have to quit your RL job (or get fired) to manage it (Note: GSF) and even then you will need 30k people holding your hand.
There is currently a lot of decent alliances that would do well at managing an alliance and surviving in 0.0 however in order to do that they would have to sacrifice all their free time for a game, then RMT to pay bills much like what everyone does.
Even with all the 'effort' shared, 0.0 turns into a boring snoozefest, it is no wonder so many people RMT in 0.0, the question really is, is 0.0 worth fighting over, from a RMT point of view YES! for everything else NO!
I am not saying CCP should make it easy, just make it more appealing and fix low sec too, otherwise you will have these egotistical virgins claiming to be elite in all ways possible when really all they are, are lonely individuals who aspire to be the next Cho in RL and thankfully are distracted by false realities in EVE .

Pick Two: Fun Casual Gamer Sovereignty
Sovereignty is a place for dedicated gamers, it is also completely optional.
There is nothing to cry about.

^^ I'd have to disagree with you on this one.^^
They're dedicated gamers that play this game who aren't sov holders. Some aren't even in a player corp. Being in an NPC or having other interests than 0.0 doesn't make a person any less hardcore player than the eluded to 0.0 sov player.
But guess I get the rest of your meaning.

He never said otherwise. You have to be dedicated to hold sov, you do not have to hold sov to be dedicated.
The only way to make 0.0 more accessible is to limit the amount of ships allowed in a system and on a grid. Since this would utterly destroy the game, and cause the vast majority of people to stop playing, it will never happen. Join an established alliance, or stay in empire.

If you want to eke out a small empire for yourself in lawless space, try wormholes.
K-space 0.0 is only for masochists and megalomaniacs. --------

Yeah, you can't be a small corp and survive out there. You either make powerful friends fast, or get kicked out with a bang.

CCP's idea of "endless space" and "infinity" involves a tiny box where all the mice bump up against each other till they start chewing each other to pieces. They seem to think the game revolves around replacing destroyed ships. I'm still wondering how someone with a college degree came up with that idea...you'd think they could reason critically...oh well...not everyone has a Hahvad Yahd.
