Soo pretty new to eve 2.9SP and would like to do some pvp so i roamed in some built Gal T1 frig and i can either never find ANYONE in low sec or when i do they are in a capital ship or something.
So what i would like to know is there areas (plexs i assume) that you can only use t1 frigs and cruisers, if i lone roam in one of those will i find anything that would be worth to fight or am i more then likely gonna run into blobs

If you do run into a blob, you will have a better option getting away by just fighting in a plex as you have a bit more leeway as to who you fight. The biggest problem with plexes, is that faction frigs pretty much rule the day with them as Drams, Daredevils, Hookkbills ect are considered T1.
You can still probably find other new players, but just keep in mind you will be limited on what you can fight. I'd probably suggest hitting Red vs Blue at first being such a new pilot then moving to FW once you have a bit more SP's & experience under your belt.
Soloing is tuff to do and the odds are against you as a noobie. You get more T1 vs T1 fights in RvB and it's more of a controlled setting. You can also get a lot of frig fights just hanging out side a busy market hub like Jita 4-4 and popping cans & renaming them frig 1v1.
In short as a noober trying to learn, you want to get as many fights as possible to get some experience under your belt. It's better to put yourself in a situation that allows for you to get fights fast rather than spend 90% of your time hunting a target.
Also if you do go RvB, make sure to move on before you get too soft, because it's a controlled PVP and while a good place to learn basics, it's nothing like PVP found else where where being it's a more restricted environment.

What the h*ll is RvB (Red vs. Blue)? Is this some restricted system with certain game mechanic rules?
Never heard of it, and have been playing for many years now (mostly in 0.0 though)

Greetings Dawink:
I'm still trying to figure out what is and is not a blob.
When I first joined FW, I thought two ships was a blob... then three... then four... and so on, until now I'm not sure if it is 100 ships or 1,000.
That stated, on the Minmatar vs. Amarr front, you typically run into anywhere from a solo ship (that may be point for a small fleet or trying to meet up with a fleet) to duo's and trio's as well as one to three full squads including fleet commander and potential wing commander.
While pilots do come and go within militia, over a short period of time you should be able to note who typically fleets up, and in what size fleets, whose typically a scout or tackle, bait, and so on. So if you see them in local, you have the potential to figure out if you should safe up, or if it is ok to hunt them down.
Check out http://www.factionalwarfare.info/1363/recommended-reading-solo-combat-roaming/ which is a culmination from Miura Bull on good places to hunt.
Thank you.

Dawink,
heres a good tip for you. try to get recruited in a faction warfare corp. Some of us will let you in and you'll be able to learn and have fun. Just get your name heard and if you participate in fleets a lot, your reputation will increase and you will get known which is 2 sided (we will know you and your gallente buddies will love you)
You can do plexes but as stated previously, the faction frigs rules the battlefield so just watch out. Best best is to go in a fleet. Just ask in general militia if theres a fleet. If theres not one, honestly, just make one and go ahead roam. Simple as that.
If you wanna use t1 frigs and cruisers, by all means do just be prepared out there... thats all. nothing too complicated --------------------------------------------------
Life is pleasant. Death is peaceful. It's the transition that's troublesome.

FW really isn't newb friendly. Maybe you'll get lucky and get into a corp willing to train you that is within FW, but you're better off trying Red vs Blue or even trying EVE University to learn some basics, although don't ever think what EVE Uni does is *real* PvP. They are on the whole a bunch of blobbers that need half their fleet in ECM, but you will get the general drift of combat with them. vOv

For a start, try to get into eve uni or maybe take some classes in that pvp alliance (forgot the name right now).
For solo roaming in frigates, your best bet is to try out RvB after that and just have lots and lots of duels. Even tho there's many people in RvB with lots of SP, money, experience and alts, it's still possible to get good fights with other new pilots. Also there's no risk of losing your pod.
After that just hit some newbie friendly FW corp. Learn the ropes, discover the area, figure out plexing mechanics. There's many people roaming in frigs in the FW areas, the problem here really is that most do it in either T2/navy frigs, the rest is flying Dramiels.
Try out different frig pvp approaches and see what works out for you in the end (i.e. close range active tank brawler/long range speed fits/close range kiting fits).
If you're interested in some fittings and tips, just drop me a main ingame.

Yes that is your best bet, get a t1 frigate and run minor plexes in hot systems. On the Gal front that is the contested systems around Intaki or Aldranette

I strongly suggest highsec wardecs, RvB, or eve university to get the basics first (also google the eve online guide to piracy.) FW even with plexes still is not noob friendly. You will be against higher sp players in faction frigs or people will blob you (and will suggest that you plex in a "hot/main" system solo so they can blob you or kill you with their cynabal *cough* princess *cough* ). So RvB is really the best place, constant 1v1's against other players around your level and some fleet fights too.
You'll get more 1v1 engagements in a day in RvB than you will in a week with FW. Also you're more likely to get advice/tips/feedback from people in RvB (Such as getting your arse handed to you in a 1v1, people will look at your fit and tell you what you can do better, and point out piloting mistakes that you made so you can improve). FW players just want to blow you up, call you rude names in local (we all take it too seriously, we even spam convo invites during fleet fights and threaten eachother IRL ) , and fly off.

Eve University exists to teach new players a general education of the game, not to play empire wars with people that can't handle fighting against people that know how to fight. This means fielding what ever type of ship and fighting in any way to stop the war dec.
New players can learn about pvp, and join roams in the appropriate groups/places for it, but empire war decs against Eve Uni are not for learning pvp. They are for learning how aholes like to grief new players.

Maybe EVE Uni doesn't roam through your Lowsec, but when they come to the Min/Amarr Warzone, they have a fleet with 50% Blackbird composition. It's stupid and ridiculous and doesn't teach anyone anything about normal PvP. It's only useful for people who are brand-spankin' new to PvP that don't know how to use their D-Scan, how to follow Fleet Commands, etc.

If E-Uni didn't fly ECM heavy comps, they'd get stomped flat nearly every time they went out.

Which exactly describes about half of an average Eve-Uni fleet.
This alliance is more of a transition point than any other corp in this game: Its main purpose is the learning of the mechanics and once you have reached a certain point, you are likely to strike out on your own. That also means, that an average Unista is way below the average low-sec dweller in experience, both inside and outside the game. So you canŠt blame them for using their strenghts, which are quantity and e-war; no one plays this game just to pad someone elses killboard....
