So I've been really getting into the RP aspect of EVE, and I've even started writing, but I've got some questions before I commit to postings anything. Firstly, is there any limit to coverable topics? (Ex. Writing about say proposed future ship designs like the Tornado and its other faction spin offs). Next, I know that the language situation is pretty fluid, and the most popular language that's been fairly well developed is Napanii, but what if I were to attempt a language say like Ni-Kunni, some hybrid of Latin and Arabic, that would sound maybe right yes? Various dialects from different systems so long as they blend into the overall culture wouldn't be some sort of taboo I hope. There's also hopefully nothing against writing about the characters I use, I haven't seen too many people cover such, but there are some out there. Well that's all I can think of for now, if anyone can answer what they can and maybe give me some more heads up on does and don'ts for posting fiction it'd be much appreciated.

Generally, your imagination is the limit. That said, sprinkle in some practicality. It's *probably* best not to write about something that hasn't yet been implemented, as anything you put down is likely to differ from what CCP eventually lay onto us.
Though you can, for instance, take the position of writing about some character involved in the in-game developing of the ship, and if what you have turns out not to match with what CCP makes, then what you made is just one path of development that didn't work out for that team you wrote about but your story won't need retconning.

A better option than saying "This is what Ni-Kunni speak" would be to take the position that "this is the language/dialect spoken by the people of this area that is set in my story", which is much more localized and doesn't infringe on what other players may be developing / using.

On writing about your own characters, you have a lot of leeway, since you're not including characters controlled by other players, you can take certain liberties. Try to stay relatively within the bounds of the EVE setting though.
You're not a repurposed Rogue Drone that has taken to wearing the skin of a Gallente popstar to promote Quafe. ... Actually....

Thanks for the reply, looks like I have the OK so long as I keep things reasonable (I don't think I would want to go crazy with things anyway). So hopefully sometime soon I'll have have some finely polished writings for everyone to enjoy.

stop being shy, writer.
the only limit for writing for EvE is your own mind.
when was the last time you said "I drove my Caldari shuttle to work today." in RL
