Dual rep fits are what I would consider optimal for solo or 2-man gangs. Some people like to use triple rep myrms but their cap runs out fast. There was a thread about this not so long ago discussing the merits of both.
Another option is a shield gank fit which packs a mighty punch but you want to avoid being primary when flying it. It is also highly effective when twinned with a Scimi (or Basi if you prefer).

Im prob being trolled but:
Rep=repair, as in armor repair.
Dont try to PVP in a myrm yet. If you dont know what a "rep" is. Go back and run the tutorial missions you skipped.

After that, join RvB or Faction Warfare (I'm in TRIAD, email me in game if you are interested) and fly frigs. The Myrmidon is a great boat, but you would serve yourself better by getting a feel for PVP before you risk an expensive boat like the Myrmidon when you'll probably learn more by spending/loosing the same amount of isk on a bunch of frigate hulls.

The myrm is a good ship, but is also skill intensive for pvp. For a good baseline, you should have good drone skills, good armor skills, excellent cap skills, and typically good medium projectile skills. (Good usually means t2.)
WIth the Myrm, you need to manage tackle, distance, drones, reppers, and capacitor all at the same time. A drake or cane is typically easier, as you don't have to worry so much about cap and repping.
If you are new to PvP, I highly recommend taking some courses from Agony Unleashed Info. We have an excellent reputation, just ask around.

Don't suck like this.
He went down in a couple seconds. Lots of good warp core stabs and no resists did with a bomb launch and a torp volley.

It's quite awesome.
Recently some corp buddies and i decide to generate some of our own carebear tears by trying pvp for once. We decided to go to a near by system with a 5 man team: 2 caracals, 1 arbitrator, one blackbird, and 2 frigates for tackling. We find a myrmidon ratting in a belt. Our frigate scrams him and he tells us to warp in. We warp in and hold him down but our mediocre dps is doing nothing to his armor repping. We are hoping that the arb and my medium neuts will take out his cap. 3 minute in he's still repping and by that time our frigates had to warp out do to his drones and them being in hull from getting the tackle. SO it's up to me to hold him down. My cap drains because i forget to turn off the neut and he engages his mwd. By that time our blackbird doesn't have a permajam and he takes out our arbitrator with his autocannons really quickly. and then just keeps running away and we can't catch him and we call off the attack.
None the less he tanked like a mofo EASILY. Took on 5 guys and came out with 3 kms and we cried :(.
The BC looked like a god in our eyes hahaha.

One of the most adaptable ships in the game that can be fitted in tons of different ways plus you are not flying a draek so people will like you more!

Myrm is one of the best pvp BC's for sure! many ppl here gave you lot of pros to pvp in a Myrmidon. It's my favorite pvp ship and actually I LOST many of them because it's a delicious piece of cake for pirates! If you're planning to use it in pvp, be sure to have always some friendly backup, because NO ONE will never engage you in solo when you are on a tanky Myrmidon.

This is how i fit mine: High slots: 6x Heavy Electron Blaster II
Med slots: Faint Elipison Warp Scrambler Fleeting Propulsion inhibitor AfterBurner II Medium Electrochemical Capacitor Booster Medium Electrochemical Capacitor Booster
Low slots: 3x Medium Armor Repair II 2x Energised Adaptive Nano Membrain Damage Control II
Rigs: 2x Nanobot Accelerators 1x Auxiliary nano Pump
Drones: __Heavy Drones: ____Ogre II ____Ogre II __Thermal Damage Drones: ____Hammerhead II ____Hammerhead II ____Hobgoblin II __EM Damabe Drones: ____Infiltrator II ____Infiltrator II ____Acolyte II __Explosive Damage Drones: ____Valkyrie II ____Valkyrie II ____Warrior II __Small Drones: ____5x Warrior II
Launch the heavy drones first, then according to ship you're up against launch drones according to the assumed lowest resist on their ship (having a ship scanning alt character or friend can be a life saver for this) if your drones are not hitting the assumed dmg they should be hitting against that resist the ship may have spec resist mods for that resist, so you have to pull your spec dmg drones and leave the heavy dmg drones out there, and launch the thermal dmg drones, because they are the highest dmg drones even though as all drones are restricted to 1 dmg type, they hit the hardest for their 1 dmg type because they have the highest dmg modifier. They're your best bet instead of taking your time to find their resist hole so its better in the long run.
Yes, there are no kinetic dmg drones, no ship has a kinetic resist hole except for caldari t2 ships i believe.(correct me if I'm wrong)
I don't know the exact dps and hp/s tank of that myrm fit, i don't have eft on this computer and I'm not at home.
2x heavy 2x medium 1x small for drones is the highest dps mix, it does more dmg than 3x heavies or 5x mediums, if you want me to explain why and how say so and ill write a follow up post about it.
Lots of people use auto cannons instead of blasters because they don't require capacitor to fire, i'm still a rather young character in eve (12 manbrawl isn't my main character, i just put made him with the same account to use him to talk on the forums, i don't want to give away my fits and tactics over the forums while helping new players). My main character is 9 months old which is how long i have been playing eve. I just broke 12mil skillpoints.
Myrmidons can also be dual rep gank fit for much more dps, that triple rep fit has less dps than my gank fit thorax but its survivability in fights makes it worth it. I have yet to come across a tech 1 battlecruiser to break my tank alone while i still have capacitor.
Gank fitting is giving up tank for dps, to make that myrm fit into more of a gank fit you would change the lows to something like this:
2x Medium Armor Repair II Damage Control II Energised adaptive nano 2x Magnetic Field Stabilizer
Probably drop one of the cap boosters in the med slots for a second webifier, and you could most likely fit 6x Heavy Ion Blaster IIs if you can.
I have the hardwiring implant : Hardwiring - inherent Implants 'squire' PG4 : It gives me 3% more powergrid I also have the skill advance weapon upgrades to lvl 3 which reduces powergrid use of guns. I don't know if you will be able to fit those myrmidon fits without those skills and implants.
Hope this helps

Minmatar T2 have the kinetic resists hole. T2 Caldari - EM (if shield tanked, Explosive if armor tanked) T2 Minmatar - Kinetic T2 Gallente - Explosive (if armor tanked, EM if shield tanked) T2 Amarr - Thermal

Edited by: Junky Juke on 09/08/2011 11:25:05 Mixed drones... interesting theory, a corpmate of mine uses this technique in PVE myrm. I have to test it. About tri-dual rep, I personally prefer tri rep because of its insane tank and surprise effect on the aggressor when you start to use the third repper Don't forget the shield tanked Myrmidon. It's a good decoy fitting: when you want to attract the attention of some pirates (say 3-4 pirates gang) you can tank them while your proud gang mates warp in....

Almost all ships will cover the explosive hole and EM will end up the weakest resist, this is often true of many ships e.g shield tankers EM is often over-patched and thermal/kin become best damage to deal.
The myrm is only really worthwhile with T2 autocannons and the triple rep fit (or big buffer for gangs) anything else and you are generally better off in a 'cane or harb i'm afraid.
As another poster said its a skill intensive ship. You really need T2 autos, T2 heavy drones and good support skills as well as good fitting skills (compared to other tier 2 BC which are much easier to fit)
If you take the other posters advice about joining TRIAD you'll probably want a comedy fit or people will start getting suspicious. I don't have an exact fit but there are probably some corp saved ones, go for a load of capacitor flux coils, a shield boost amp (but no booster) some railguns, a small prop mod, a mix of TD, damping and webbing drones in the bay and sentry drone augs in the rig slots.
