Hi,
What's CSPA mean?
Someone in local told me how to set a CSPA charge to like a million isk to stop conv's and eve mails I didn't want.
I still got a evemail from Darmad Cirshan though, did he just pay a million isk to bother me? How do I stop those?
Thanks!

Yeah its means they have to pay the fee to send you evemail unless you set them to excellent standing I believe. It stands for CONCORD Spam Protection Act

The email from Darmad Cirshan is the devs sending you the mail. So they probably didn't pay and you probably can't avoid it if they want to send another.

Darmad Cirshan is effectively an NPC, and as such does not "play by the rules". It's annoying getting spam from the very company we pay to play this game, but what can you do? ----------

There's a problem with setting a high CSPA charge.
The way it's supposed to work ... is that if you set someone blue - then they won't be charged a CSPA charge to talk to you.
That was broken for a long time ... and as far as I know it still is.
If they're in the same corporation you are - then they won't be charged - but if they aren't they will.
Thus, if I'm fleeting up with some of my characters that don't happen to be in the same corporation as the FC - I get this CSPA charge message.
Since that money goes right down the bit bucket (i.e. it is simply withdrawn from you wallet and ceases to exist) - I'm hardly going to spend a million bucks to talk to one of my alts.
So - while I had them set to a million isk for a long time - and that did cut down on the spam - I've had to change that if I was going to use them with my other characters.
My understanding is that this is a bug.

It has to be mutual dark blue. If these other people are still getting charged your CSPA, then they don't think as highly of you as you do of them
