The Nex items aren't bound at all. You can freely remove them, trade them with another player, put them on the market. give them away, jettison them in space, whatever you want, it behaves the same way as a normal in-game item does.
CCP have claimed that they would probably make some items untradeable that didn't make sense existing on a market or being able to trade (i.e. Tattoos/scars/facial hair) ---

As long as I can keep paying for my game time with your money, I don't care what happens with sub prices. And for the record I would quit the game if I had to pay for my four currently active accts, be it $14.95 or $16.95.

i guess if yousee buying clothes with aur is more like getting a lifetime supply of thar article of clothing, and so when you die, a new set of that clothing is sent to your clone.

I know people who buy plex, convert to isk, then buy a ship and fittings with it. Seeing how their ship was bought with plex just like clothing in the NeX is, I'm sure they wouldnt mind having a new ship+fittings deposited into their hangers everytime they lose one as well.
How can we expect people to lose things they paid real life money for right? Isnt that the logic with NeX clothing?

As for the increase in subs by $2, I wouldnt have a problem with it if CCP used that extra money to develop EvE. If they didnt, theres no point.

twice as much? i don't know if id be willing to cough up 30$ an account for a month of eve but 2 bucks? yeah id pay that, i might not like it, but i wouldn't have unsubbed over 2$.

There is the interesting question of how much money CCP has made from the Nex store. I looked at Jita and found that since introduction 70 monocles have been re-sold for ISK. This implies that more than 70 have been acquired from the Nex store. If 100 have been then CCP got $7000, just at Jita on one item. Assuming Jita is one third of the total Eve market, we get $21,000 just from monocles. Include the rest of the items and it could be $40,000 to $100,000, in just 6 weeks.
This could well me a million dollar per year income generator for CCP. Hardly a failure.

I would pay a few extra bucks a month to avoid carebears talking about monocles and boots and goggles and various other fa**otry, yes.
But, hey, it's 2011 -- and my only option is to let my account expire. One account down, one to go :-)

Sure, let's be the most expensive MMO. That'll pull in more players. Let's see how we can positively market this!

Considering that the average MMO contains 12-year-olds calling each other ni&&ers over comms (and apparently EVE strives to be this), perhaps more mature people would welcome something that doesn't appeal to the kiddies.

This. There are plenty of us who would love to see the numbers on it.
