so I remember stating I wanted the snipers of Dust514 to be something like the recon kit in BFBC2. With that said I still do want it to be that way and I plan on saying it until it comes true.
I also would like to know what other ppl think this FPS will be like. I for one believe it to be the next gen for FPS and after a long time of nothing of the like it is mentioned and scheduled to be released.
Something I do want to know is how the ammunition will be effected or not effected by gravity? Which leads to another question as to what are the battlegrounds like? and lastly but mainly for the PS3 how will it function with the PSN? House of Kahn on the Web-matrix

I hope the bullets are affected by gravity. Lasers, not so much. And hybrids not so much either.
I'd like to see projectile weapon range be affected (sometimes strongly) by a planet's gravity. And also I hope to see planets with really low gravity or really high gravity. That could change battle tactics greatly, plus it'd just be fun. And maybe you have to purchase upgrades to your combat suit to be able to withstand higher gravity, or upgrades to increase your mobility in low-gravity. --

By the looks of things, BF3 seems to have already beat out DUST unless the dust team plans on upping the graphics and physics department before they release it. Hope they do. |

I think it will be like M.A.G. but actually good and playable! It's nice to see a FPS that isn't trying to be a run o' the mill "win by kills" game, and we actually get SOMETHING out of the frags in DUST 514! Something I started to think about now is that all maps are planets, so will the maps be slightly curved then? If we go high enough, will the horizon be because of the spherical shape of the planet, and not rendering distance? It would be interesting to see gravity, the Coriolis effect and other such things would affect lasers based sniper rifles and projectile based sniper rifles.

something FPS fans might remember was the Halo 3 maps and how they could be re-adjusted during custom matches so that there would be A) faster movements and B) less gravity amongst other specs of a FPS match. Now Halo is a pathetic game with a predictable story line yet it revolutionized FPSs for a while even so I would never want any of Dust to look or feel like a Halo(Bungie) instead I would like it lean towards the sometimes hyper-realist COD(Activision) or BF(EA) which really do strive at making you feel "there."
If anything I would hope to see in Dust a balanced merge of both reality and sci-fi, much like in Mass Effect(Bioware) in which you could land on a few planets and roam the surface at 0-G. now M.E suffers in that the free roaming is stale and pretty boring, even so the fact that some planets surface is so uninhabitable that if you walk out for too long you start to take dmg.
Now as far as Dust and fighting on planetary surface I would like this to be clearer as most PI structures would be ideal places to have small scale skirmishes. Also at risk of pointing out the obvious some PI structures is all you CAN fight on as if you are in an oceanic or gas giant or even a storm world there is no surface to fight on as to which
I ask where would the fighting take place?
it would be hard to fight on a plasma world or even a lava covered world, what then? do we get hover bikes and jet-packs
