Is it a valid combat technique to have neutral Logistics ships repping your ships so that the opposing player/corp/alliance cannot effectively fight you?

Agreed. My thinking is if you want to participate, you are all in; meaning that if you want to rep someone, you get flagged and it's open season on your ass as well.

They do get flagged. Neutral reppers are no longer neutral once they start repping.

It's #5 on the Crowdsourcing list. It takes a while to get anything done it seems. It ranked extremely highly (5/172) on the list of things that players want done in July though, so hopefully they'll work on it in earnest now.

of course eveunis bloc of nooby carebear scrubs got removing wardecs altogether to the fourth spot.
once they remove wardec like the whiny carebears want, neutral repping matters less.

Pretty easy to determine where you are in that equation, you really should learn to hide motivations/feelings when commenting on stuff .. otherwise people might start saying "griefer tears, best tears"
Anyhoo, that Wardec proposal does not mention removal at any point, it does go on about expanding on the mechanic and making it more nuanced though ..

Remote repping gives the opposing shooters aggro on the repper. If the remote reps are causing so much grief, shoot him. He'll either pop (grossing you a 150M isk killmail) or gtfo. Either way, is good for you.

Had the best fight ever this weekend...Battle ships, command ships, a bunch of t3, a couple of BC's. We shot at each-other for 5 mins. and no one died. Super fun.

Is it a valid combat technique to undock three T1 fitted no prop mod drakes (including one active tanked with double Medium Shield Booster!?!?!) into three battleship and start shooting them in web range?

Neutral rep is a seriously broken mechanic used by hypoplastic scr0tum corps
The proposed aggression timer is good, but the neutrals delayed window of safety before they commit needs a greater punishment IMO

Edited by: BeachParty on 16/08/2011 15:38:08 Do reps have the same aggression mechanics as Remote Sensor Boosting a war target with a neutral? It seems to me in order to get neutral logistics to pop-red on my overview I still have to be directly aggressing a ship receiving the reps?

This is the case. And, it is especially annoying in militia fleets, since a militia fleet is usually comprised of members of multiple corporations and we are not considered "an alliance".
