Is there a way to verify/corelate the email that you've sent the invite too with the in-game name of a capsuleer, so that you can be sure the guy is really playing on the account created based on the invite you've sent them.

no, but if your friend *didn't* use the buddy invite, you don't get the free gametime... nor does he get a 21 day trial... =========================

What i am saying is: he can accept the invite, in my account management will show up that he started the trial, and then he can start a different account create a character and then he can contact me and i have no way of knowing if he is playing on the account created based on my invite or another.
That is a major loophole especially if reward ISK based on PLEX is in the middle.

If you selected to get a plex then it will show up in the login screen as a redeemable item. So when he tells you he activated it, then you wait like an hour extra, relog the client (to make sure it updates) and check if you have a(n extra) redeemable plex.
Not very difficult.

I understand it just fine, you give out buddy invites to random people and reward them if they turn that buddy trial into a full account. If they do indeed turn the trial you sent them into a full account you get rewarded by CCP, either in extra game time (which you can't check from account management) or a free plex for you (which will show up on your redeemable items upon login). After which you pay them x amount of Isk.
You can't tell if the character they created and chat to you with is one on the buddy account you created, they can however. But that doesn't matter; they can tell you a hundred times that they used your buddy invite but all you need to check is if you got the reward, that's the only evidence you'll get (and need).

I think Mesurr Roentag's issue can be explained by this example:
Mesurr Roentag sends out 3 buddy invites to 3 random strangers, Adam, Bob, and Carl.
Adam is new to EvE. Bob is new to EvE. Carl is a 15 year veteran EvE player (BTW: It's a joke) but Mesurr doesn't know this.
On the 19th day of the trial, Adam decides he wants to play EvE and signs up. Bob decides internet spaceships is not for him and doesn't sign up. Carl, already playing EvE does NOT sign up, however Carl is a scammer.
Carl tells Mesurr that he signed up even though he didn't really sign up. Mesurr checks his account page, and sure enough one person signed up. But it was Adam that signed up, not Carl. However, Mesurr has no idea this is the case, and Mesurr gives Carl the 150-200 million isk that was supposed to go to Adam.
I may be wrong, but that is how I interrupt Mesurr's issue with the current system.

That makes sense, in that case he got too greedy for his own good by trying to "scam" newbies out of a lot of isk while not actually putting any thought into it. I guess he could ask them to fly a ship that's restricted from trial, but that in and of itself proves nothing (the char he's talking to might not be on the buddy account).
In the future, make new people you scsm MAIL YOU when they subscribe, so you can at least track it.
