Alright so here is the situation, I have a POS setup in high sec, with labs on it, and what I would like to do is be able to keep the blueprints in the station while utilizing the research slots on the labs. now is there any way I can set it up utilizing remote research? and if not, what is remote research / remote manufacturing used for exactly?
thanks for the help!

You need a corp office in the same system. Place the blueprint you need to work on inside the corp hangar, optionally lock it down if you want to. Guaranteed to work for jobs that don't need any additional materials, NOT SURE how it works when extra materials are needed (it could be that all you need to do is place the materials in the lab, but you MIGHT need to also temporarily move the blueprint there - again, not sure if you have to). _

^^ This, you can do any lab activity with the blueprint in the corp hangar back in the station, be it copying, research or invention. But all other items needed must be in the lab itself.
