Hello, I have just came back to eve after a several month break. After a period of time in space my computor becomes completely unresponsive, and I have to reboot it via the power button. This only happens when I am in space and it only happens on EVE. My computor generated a crash log, which I will include here, help is grealy appreciated as this is making the game unplayable.

1) send bug reports to here 2) turn down some of your options 3) lock the refresh rate your your monitor - i.e. 60Hz

Thanks for your reply, I will submit a bug report shortly, my graphics are on minimal settings. I dont think its so much a problem with a game, I think the game is making a driver crash. If you look at the bottom of my crash dump it says "Probably caused by : nvlddmkm.sys ( nvlddmkm+dea30)" However I have no idea what this file is. |

"Unable to verify timestamp for nvlddmkm.sys" is your recurrent message. That .sys file is a notorious error causer. Google that line to get an idea.
Apparently, and both Microsoft and nVidia won't comment directly on this, nVidia's newer drivers (which that file is, a video driver) and Vista/Win 7 have an issue with each other that neither company can pinpoint.
What happens is your computer starts reading from the graphics card RAM to the page file suddenly and without "cause". It's called "dribbling." After a two-second default timer goes off the graphics card resets.
From what I've read neither the graphics card RAM, nor the page file are "filled" causing the computer to shift from one to the other, and both companies can't say what the trigger is. Suffice to say it's one of the most common, but remedy-less problems one can find on internet geek sites.
NVidia already promised to put out another driver. Microsoft apparently think it's nVidia's fault.
Please wait as this sig- nature finishes loading

I would start by re-installing your graphics card drivers, or if available, a different version of driver. Then play the game for a while to see if you see improved stability.
