Greetings,
I am nearing some key points in the Mining Career and I am unsure what direction would be wise to proceed or really what the "end-game" goal is now for mining - alot has changed and will change it seems in the near future.
I have: 1. A max-skilled hulk 2. 95% max skilled orca/foreman 3. Most of the ores to T2 crystals and working on the remaining 4. Ice and Gas are at L5s/max 5. Have worked up to some "teeth" in T2 Frigates/HAC/HIC for Amarr (and cross-trained a good deal of all the ship and weapons in game). 6. No real interst in PI, POS, or research/industry atm. 7. I get a good deal of PvP fun/testing on SISI regularly and so that doesn't really hot much interest for me on TQ atm.
Suggestions for what would be the next phase? or something to make EVE more interesting again...
...to give an idea I just spend the last three weeks getting a 10.0 with my agent for L4s for the HzO and I am at 8.5 with them - should be at 10.0 with both and then I guess that is a done deal.
1. Missile turrets 2. Fix bugs in the current turrets 3. Re-vamp my ships to current standards 4. World of Tanks in the CQ please so I may do that while sitting on my sofa.
Thanks |

Core skills are always usefull. Shield/Armour/hull amounts maxed, CPU and grid maxed, capacitor maxed, resistences, reppers etc. drone skills are nice, mining drones with max skills actually do make a small difference.
Getting your alt into a rorqual would be another good idea ( definitely want the core skills maxed with this baby ), then find yourself a nice low/null sec system and mine there, though if you got a rorq, you can organise mining ops with it, as more people will love to have that bonus. When using a Rorq, put up a small pos with some fuel for a few hours to station it in safely, and deploy it. ( siege mode thingie )
Equipment wise, there's always the mindlink implant for your orca boosting, and there's some mining implants for your hulk pilot.
Some scanning skills would also be interesting, as you can then scan down grav sites for you to mine, as those give better ores than what is available in belts. Plus, if you're mining in low sec or null sec, it gives you a slight edge as you're not as easy to find as when you're mining in a belt. Scanning skills are also a must if you want to harvest gas.

My personal end game for mining: -Move to 0.0 sov space -Advance a dead-end system to industry level 3 or higher -Cherry Pick Small/Moderate/Xlarge belts, fully strip and cycle the Large belt over and over. -Use your earned ISK to buy more hulk pilots and increase income
Using that method with a boosted orca (or rorq) earns 25+mil/hour per miner. Not too bad for constant income on a per miner basis. Really the key (only) way to make real ISK with mining is to run multiple accounts.

Other things you might consider: * Freighter * Transports * Jump Freighter * Rorqual * Logistics * Carrier (similar to a Rorqual / jumpfreighter / logistics in skills: capital skills & drones skills)
For reference: my mining booster.

IIRC, Cherry picking isn't enough to maintain industry levels. You need to hire more hulk pilots and somehow convince them to mine the crap stuff instead of YOUR ABC ores. ----------

There really is no end game for EVE. It is because of the way the game is made.

My 'end game' of mining was to become a businessman, applying what I've learned about mining and the trading of minerals to making me more money than sitting in a belt ever could have.
I don't want to get into too many details, but whether you see it or not, mining is PvP. For me, taking that PvP to the next level is more fun than anything else in Eve has ever been.

This is the correct strategy. Once you've reached end game mining abilities, with perfect rorqual boosts and everything, you need to expand your ranks of miners, to 10+. This will allow you to solo maintain a nullsec system. You'll need a scanning ship, and someone posted as eyes. Cycle the large belt repeatedly to maintain industry level, and cherry pick all the others. You might also want to stockpile your high end minerals, because with talk of changes to nullsec their value will go up a bit --------------------------- Full Explanation of the Industry Index System |

Depends on how many accounts you got, missions really not hard.
