Edited by: Signal11th on 17/08/2011 10:21:06 I imagine your going to be doing sanctums in 0.0 with it then?
If so Highs:
3x drone control unit 1x Heavy Nuet 1x Improv Cloak
meds:
Couple of Invun T2 Capital Shield Booster T1 and the rest I just passive fitted for rat types.
Lows:
Cap recharge mods 1 x DC2
Rigs:
Large Cap rigs t1
Basically this will let you sit in a sanctums to you hearts content as mine did but be warned if you lose it to reds you will get laughed at. If it's only ever going to be a "sanctum" carrier this will do you fine and cost peanuts.
Do not use this fit in fleets it will get you kicked from your corp. This fit is just for a extremely cheap sanctum runner. Keep an aye on local and always be aligned to a POS (not a station) and it will last you fine.

Edited by: Tradwhora on 17/08/2011 15:10:30 Here is a fit similiar to what I use for a Thanny:
[Chimera, Ratting] Inertia Stabilizers II Inertia Stabilizers II Inertia Stabilizers II Damage Control II
Sensor Booster II, Scan Resolution Ballistic Deflection Field II Omnidirectional Tracking Link I Omnidirectional Tracking Link I Omnidirectional Tracking Link I Quad LiF Fueled I Booster Rockets Capital Shield Booster I
Drone Control Unit I Drone Control Unit I Drone Control Unit I Drone Control Unit I Drone Link Augmentor I
Large Sentry Damage Augmentor I Large Sentry Damage Augmentor I [empty rig slot]
Garde II x13 Warden II x13 Hobgoblin II x13 Warrior II x13
Reasoning: a) Sentry carrier is far superior to using fighters, it's instant damage, great tracking and puts out a lot of DPS. Also doesn't hurt you via travel time and redeployment. Warp in to Havens/Sanctums at 30-50km and use Gardes/Wardens (or whatever long range sentry type for your specific faction) and you can pop frigates before they get to you too. Much safer and quicker. b) With 3 I-stabs and MWD trick (just pulse it as soon as you warp), you will warp out in less than 15 seconds, which is very safe. You therefore do not need to stay aligned to give you pitiful ISK/hr. c) You don't need more tank and you will barely need to pulse your booster/repper, especially for Guristas in this case. Depends entirely on your faction but just add another hardener instead of tracking link.
It's ridiculously easy ISK because sentries also don't need to be constantly issued engage target command, deploy on each wave and enjoy the ISK. And it's very safe if you are awake because no one can jump into a system, do a system scan and warp to your Haven/Sanctum and land, in less than 15 seconds. It takes 10 seconds to do system scan, and more than 5 seconds to warp, not counting jump in delay.

isnt there a skill that reduces the amount of time it takes to scan? plus you forget about the scramming frigs. theres always one that seems to get you at the wrong time. |

It doesn't affect the system scanner and as I mentioned, warp in at 50km and you can pick them off before they get under your sentries tracking. However, a 2nd sensor booster with scan res script will help with frigates if you find you don't have enough time.
Or if you just want to be safe, as soon as you get the scram frigs in a wave, start aligning and deploy light drones just for a few seconds, thats what I used to do before. It's a bit of added safety because 13 Hobgoblin II's can kill 4 scram frigs in seconds.

Chimmy anom fit is easy. Some advise on running them.
Fit 1-2 smart bombs depending on your ADI skill level. Best way to take out scramming frigs and also good if reds get the jump on you.
Use sentry 2s if you have them instead of fighters. Fighter AI atm will not retarget the next battle ship, you have to lock and order your fighters to attack each target every time. Sentry will auto engage the next battle ship on their own and do not have any travel time like fighters or heavy drones.
Never ever use fighters for engaging red fleets in system. You will lose them
