So stations are one of the places people like to PvP.
It has always bugged me that you could dock at the station from any direction.
So the proposal is a beacon is set up off the station grid straight out from entrance/exit of the station. (20,000 km or 50,000 km off)
So whenever you dock; You travel to the beacon, drop out of warp, then warp to the station and dock.
The point being is that now you 2 points of contention for every station.
Someone could bubble the station to prevent people from leaving. and They can bubble the beacon to prevent people from docking, actually you would then get bubbled again at the station as you would be going to the exit/entrance. Most stations have 2 exit/entrance so they could always set the warp in for the docking to a different entrance.
The point is you could then effectively siege a station. And if you undock you have to go to the beacon to dock again.
It would just kill station docking games and would definitely make running for cover, interesting. And this would change things for. Freighters, jump freighters, carriers, dreads, cyno's, the list goes on and on.

So basically what will happen is everyone makes a 250km perch off station and you start seeing the mechanic of 5 second cynos via self destruct ;)

so you have a problem with players who are smart enough to make bm's around station or bounce off off the wall celestials to avoid an undock bubble? Thats called smart game play. What exactly needs to be fixed about that?
Hell, Why stop at stations....lets have this beacon on gates too. Seems rather unfair a player cna take the extra 2 minutes to bm points around a gate or bounce off celestials off the beaten path to land outside a bubble, see a hole shot to gate and burn to gate or opt to warp off before tacklers get in range.
Pvp does not mean dieing like a muppet to make a bubble camper happy. Solo ship...bubble and 3 ships on scan. Would you jump into this? No probably, so why the hell would expect other players to?

Doesn't mean you can't think about something for the fun of it though.
