I was there!
Well not in a PVP sense, but have recently completed The Grand Tour of EVE by visiting every High, Low and Null sec system in the game.
The Systems IÆve Visited screen shot image was taken on 27 Aug 2011.
The idea came to me after reading about Jeran Tek and his journey back in 2007 to visit every system in EVE. I thought it would be a fun goal.
So, after four months in my trusty Condor (4-Foxtrot) ôon the roadö between May and August 2011, I have finally visited every system in the game.
I decided to use a Condor for a number of reasons, including
To prove the point that you do NOT need a Covert Ops ship to fly to any/every system in EVE, and for the price, you can loose a lot of Condors or the price of a Buzzard!
At the current prices, a Condor loss (with my T1 fit) is valued at about 146,000 ISK, a T2 well fit Buzzard costs around 32,000,000 ISK, this means I could loose about 220 Condors for a single Buzzard. As it turned out I only needed 22 Condors, which was a lot less than I expected when I first set out!
Even in a Covert Ops ship, Jeran Tek needed at least 4 Cheetahs to make it to every system in EVE.
Whilst it wasnÆt really about the money, I could have afforded 22 Buzzards, it was more the principle than any monetary loss.
To all those who read my in-game Bio (explain why I was there), chatted in Local, and wished me well, thank-you.
Also thank-you to all those who saw me in their intel channels, and didnÆt bother chasing this solo pilot in a Condor. Interestingly, it was fun to be able to out-run most of those who did decide to give chase.
And to all those who get a killà well done.
Whilst some might think this to be an incredibly boring thing to do, it was more interesting than you might expect. You get to seen and experience all sort of different things within the game, and the wide variety of people that ôliveö in various regions.
I am now trying to work out a route through to the Jove regions, so a can ôcompleteö my map. There has to be a secret jump bridge somewhere :).

Past the occasional change in the color of the background it was probably when he got ganked at a camp and had to start over again from his clone station to go back through all the previous systems. |

I was wondering if you're journey included WH systems. Bookmarks and/or screenshots would be sufficient i think. And really, anyone who questions it anyway would just be another like the fool above who cynically remarked that your "highlights" were change of background and starting over when destroyed. In essence, people easily ignored and laughed at.
Congrats on your achievment, and best of luck in your next endeavor.
