Edited by: nate555 on 28/08/2011 05:56:08 can you use them in high sec? I would think you being you wouldn't be able to use capitols with them.

Edited by: Jason McCoy on 28/08/2011 06:26:31 Please note: Cynos can't be generated in hi-sec space or in wormhole space. In order to be able to jump to a cynosural field, the capital pilot must be within the jump range of the cynosural field.. Source:http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Cynosural_field
Covert cyno operate on the same principle. The difference is covert cynos do not appear as beacons on overview. Source: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Covert_Cynosural_Field_Generator_I Only ships that can fit a covert ops cloaking device can jump through a black ops portal via a covert cyno field. IE, covert ops, stealth bombers, recons, and T3s.

that's not what i wanted to know, can you use covert jump portals in high sec to go to another high sec system. has nothing to do with capitols

You cannot light a covert cyno in high sec, which is a stupid game mechanic. For more information look here:

This should really be implemented.

So which bit didn't you want to know, the fact that you were answered in the first line on each paragraph or the fact that you failed to read said first lines?

Actually you can light a cyno in wormhole space.... You just cannot jump to it....

All highsec systems are cyno jammed, therefore NO cyno can be lit. The only difference between covert and normal is it's harder to detect in system, but the physics behind it are the same My enemy is the enemy of my other enemy, unless my enemy hates me more than my other enemy in which case my enemies are friends. |

It is perfectly possible to initiate jump or bridge from high-sec to a cyno (covert or otherwise) in low/null.
Was used fairly extensively by jump freighters and null raiding bomber crews a while back and see no reason why that should have changed.

Actualy, you can lit covert cyno in cynojammed system in nullsec.

It still is, and has not changed.
You can jump from high to low/null, but you cannot jump from low/null to high.
