As I elaborated with the over and mis-used term trolling your "attack his credibility by insinuating he's a psychological catastrophe" is just another spin of the troll term.
You do remember diagnosing three posters with Borderline Personality Disorder here don't you? Or have the blackouts gotten that bad?

Edited by: Jaxx McCoy on 02/09/2011 05:19:26 Confirming 200m recieved from Theo.
Tom no one else seems interested so the last 400m is yours. As soon as you send, it will all be repaid.
Raj, haven't you heard? Playing Eve Online makes people 10x as evil and 100x more scammy than they are IRL!
Anyone else who was interested but hesitating... sorry! Maybe next time!

Just post here when you send the ISK so I can switch characters to confirm and payback. I should be online at least until DT.

Tom do you still want to go in for 400m?
Also Kethas, there are primarily 2 reasons for this bond being only 1b and thus not further increasing the amount that I can be trusted with.
1. As I mentioned before, my playtime has been severely limited due to stupidly addicting maps on SC2. The ISK used to pay the interest this time is PASSIVE income only, and I am not yet prepared to pay additional interest.
2. Partially to delay the inevitable accusations of "blah blah blah blah cashout scam blah blah blah" I know as soon as I offer an opportunity for a larger amount the trolls will return with renewed vigor, and I will cross that bridge soon.
^^ U see wut I did ther?

Please send me money so I send it back and because I did not run with it, you will start trusting me from now on, hopefully with even larger sums of money but it is ok cuz all I am after is your trust and friendship not actually your ISK. ISK is just a tool in my quest for social values.
You guys are total morons and I say this with regret and not to troll you. And not for investing in this poor sod's bond, but for allowing this forum to become a place for dry begging and scams because you are so smug and enjoy seeing your name in every investment thread thus proving that you got the biggest wallet(which you don't and you won't because sooner or later people will start running off with all these good-faith loans).
I ask you: are you so incompetent that you need other people to get you a 10 percent monthly profit? Can you not make more with the certainty of security? Do you feel like a bawse when you throw petty sums right and left?.
No wonder I'm poor as **** in EvE. I should start worrying about my cash first..
Current state of the forums:

Guys, let me tell you what is going to happen. A perfect train of logical thoughts.
1) "Rep Building Bond Offering 8.15.11" --> "Rep building. Give me 1B ISK. I will send you back with 5% interest immediately upon receipt!" 2) "Rep Building Bond Offering 8.31.11" --> "Rep building. Give me 1B ISK. You trusted me before. Trust me with your 1B again!" 3) "Rep Building Bond Offering 9.15.11" --> "Rep building. Give me 1B ISK. I had chance to default, but I didn't. I returned 1B right away. Trust me again." 4) "Rep Building Bond Offering 9.30.11" --> "Rep building. Give me 2B ISK. You entrusted me with 1B before and I returned them! Why not trust me with 1B more?" 5) "Rep Building Bond Offering 10.15.11" --> "Rep building. Give me 3B ISK. See? I didn't default on meager 2B! Trust me with 3B! I will return it immediately!" ... ... ... ... 10) "Un-collateralized Bond Offering 3.31.12" --> "Un-collateralized offering for 10B. I managed more than 30B in loans and diligently paid interest. My name is synonymous to "Trust."" 11) "Un-collateralized Bond Offering 4.31.12" --> "Un-collateralized offering for 15B. See? First official bond offering was a success. Trust me more?" 12) "Un-collateralized Bond Offering 5.31.12" --> "Un-collateralized offering for 30B. All the notable MD members of EVE blessed me. Why don't you trust me?" 13) "Un-collateralized Bond Offering 7.31.12" --> "Un-collateralized offering for 50B. Thank you for your gracious support. I will never let you down." ... ... ... ISD Breaking News --> "Jaxx McCoy scams unintelligent financial morons for 200B!"

^^ Is that so hard to believe?
I have no doubt that in the past people have run off with good faith loans, and will continue to do so, but I will not be one of those people.
These offerings are created for the above reason, and also because they are fun and interesting to me, playing around with ISK, the social interactions through this medium, and seeing how different people react, trust, and how much value they place in play money.
I reward (bribe, if you want to put a neative spin on it) the people who trust, and banter with those who don't!
Why the hate?
Anyways, all payouts sent.

Confirming I have indeed received 200mil and interest. Screw the haters.
On a serious note though from my point of view logically there isn't much risk investing in the second offering of each bracket of isk if you get what I mean.

ROFL
This is obviously a rep scam. The problem is that it exposes the unsettling fact that almost every single offer here is part of a build up to a larger scam. The few people who aren't scammer or who haven't yet scammed only serve to set others up to fail.
STOP GIVING ISK TO STRANGERS.
Looking forward to an MD free of this horse****.

Yes, you're right it was very low risk this time.
I will be going out on a limb asking for trust again with my next offering of 1.2 billion. Not a stretchy shaky limb but one I believe investors will still consider an acceptable risk; I could be wrong though! We'll see what happens.
Also Elise, there are alot of scammers yes, but honest people play the game too! I hope I'm not setting anyone up to fail. As always, be cautious with investing in RL as with Eve because you may lose money.

Isk Recived!
I cant understand the people acting up against us that invests in Jaxx.
Jaxx may have a different approach then most, but atleast he is honest about it. If we were to look here in MD I think we could come to the conclusion alot of the scams happening is being made by "trusted" persons (can anyone say Tutskii). So too me, every investment is a gamble in a way. I am ofc trying to improve the odds to my favor.
This "Bond" seemed as a very low risk to me and for the 5% interest during 6 hours it was a good deal. As I said before, every investment must be judge on its own, this bond delivered just as I thought!
Why shouldent I invest?

Originally by: Jaxx McCoy I will be going out on a limb asking for trust again with my next offering of 1.2 billion.
... *drums fingers on desk idly and thinks*
I was going to say "look, forget 1.2B. That'll fill instantly since you've already run an offer for 1B and returned it."
Then it occurred to me that that's a specific instance of a more general observation. After a borrower returns a certain sum uncollateralized, investors usually consider subsequent offerings of the same value or less as safe. Makes sense - if the guy considered X billion a good enough take to compensate them for the time and effort put into the character, they probably would have done it earlier when they had the chance. That much is obvious and common knowledge.
What's a bit more subtle - and what I think most people understand subconsciously, but don't actually think about - is that slightly larger offerings can also be considered "safe." If I value the time and energy of running a successful offering of some sort on MD at, say, 200M, then if I previously returned 1B of borrowers' money, an offering of 1.2B from me is "safe" for the same reason as 1B would be.
What's interesting is that if you repeat the process, you can handle 1.4B, 1.6B, ... etc. It's thus possible, in a very real and quantifiable sense, to convert "time and energy on the Market Discussions forum" into "capital ceiling at or below which I am known to be trustworthy" to an arbitrarily high desired amount while keeping investors' money "safe."
Not saying I like the exchange rate, but it's interesting to think about. Bigger post re: "rep grinding" coming later.

The question is really "Are you doing this for the e-points of becoming a trusted third party or are you eventually going to just hit your goal and split?" I do however like the idea of a trusted party that has a certain level that they aren't trusted beyond, it removes the ambiguity. What's harder to ascertain however is if you intend to, when you will split off. You can compare a bond of 1billion isk to let's say 10billion and weigh up the risks but, with such (relatively) small increases there's not much to go on.

To be clear, I think there are big differences between the "safe" method I outline above and what you've done so far/what I'd guess you plan on doing in the future. You'd have to do a 1B offering, 1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 1.8, ... ... ... 5B, 5.2, 5.4, ... up to whatever. Each of those is an entire offering + MD thread. It'd be exhausting and you'd end up paying astronomical amounts in "interest." I certainly wouldn't expect a scammer to bother, but honestly I wouldn't expect a legit borrower to, either.
In other words: I have no way to tell if Jaxx is a good-faith borrower or not and have no advice for potential investors.
(That being said, if you do end up doing the whole 1B, 1.2, 1.4, ... offering thing, I salute your dedication and would even seriously consider investing.)
