so i recently resubscribed and i have a character with 2mil unspent skill points. this character is used exclusively to mine ice, which he is maxed out, along with lvl4 for all the refinery, and maxed out for mining. can also fly transport ships (lvl4) with the cloak
i noticed with evemon i'm missing some standard stuff, specifically shields, and some basic support (i think mechanic or hull 5) but after that's done in about 2 weeks I have no idea what to go for next
any suggestions as to what kind of other stuff can complement a miner well? i've looked at industry and invention, and it just doesn't seem like something i'd like to do. i guess my main interest is the least amount of work needed at keyboard
my unspent points is about a months worth of time, which is a really cool way to kick off a set of skills, but, no idea where i might have the most fun with

If you're looking for as little work at the keyboard as possible, try level 4 missions in a Domi or maybe Rattlesnake with sentries.

Maybe some trading skills would be useful for your character?

If you do mining fleets much, flying and orca and or being the fleet booster (leadership skills) can be a good route as others have said. The Orca actually makes a pretty good boosting platform, letting you have a tractor and two gang modules (laser optimization and the like) that give the fleet even more of a boost.
Another thing... while not getting into invention and all the blueprint research stuff, you can get an entree into the production side of things with just 3 skills Industry, Production Efficiency, and Mass Production. Those three skills will let you make the most of a lot of blueprint copies that are out there and are very cheap. You can make most T1 items/ships/ammo without needing to have any more skills than those.. and not even all those, but all three will make things more profitable for you. Just make sure you check market prices before making a given item, sometimes minerals demand will make selling the minerals directly the more profitable route (strange, but true).
Just some thoughts, good luck.
