I've tried a couple of fits myself but they must be quite bad because I've lost 1 myrm and nearly lost a 2nd. I'm currently doing level 3s so I need something that'll do well in them. If someone can come up with a very good fit with the skills below that is also relatively cap stable I'd be very grateful. Thanks Ele

Improve your drone skills. At least scout drones up to 5 for T2 drones (and the appropriate racial spec skills to 3 or so) and the drone support skills up to at least three. Also, you need better armor skills and energy management skills.
It's not really the fit that will make a difference here, it's your skills. --------

I'm currently training scout drones to level 5, level 4 is nearly finished now. Is there anything I can work with for now while I wait for my skills to upgrade?

Threw a fit together that could work on a low skilled character. Armor hardeners are rat specific to the damage they do, here for angels.
[Myrmidon, Nubbin's Myrm] Medium 'Accommodation' Vestment Reconstructer I Armor Explosive Hardener I Armor Explosive Hardener I Armor Kinetic Hardener I Magnetic Vortex Stabilizer I Beta Reactor Control: Capacitor Power Relay I
Optical Tracking Computer I, Tracking Speed Cap Recharger II Drone Navigation Computer I Omnidirectional Tracking Link I Y-S8 Hydrocarbon I Afterburners

If possible, DL a tool like eft or eveHQ and copy/paste your fitting. We can't tell how you're fitting it with just your skills, although I do agree with the other poster, they are a bit low. Here's a set-up I'd run in 3s
[Myrmidon, pve myrm]
[Highs] 4x 650mm Medium Prototype I Siege Cannon (Fusion M) Medium 'Arup' I Remote Bulwark Reconstruction Drone Link Augmentor I
[Mids] 3x F-b10 Nominal Capacitor Regenerator Y-S8 Hydrocarbon I Afterburners Drone Navigation Computer I
[Lows] 2x Medium Automated I Carapace Restoration 2x Radioisotope Kinetic Hardener I 2x Radioisotope Thermic Hardener I
[Rigs] 3x Medium Capacitor Control Circuit I
[Drones] 2x Ogre I 2x Hammerhead I 1x Hobgoblin I
Most all meta 3's no t2. A nice thing (to some) about the myrm is that with is lack of turret bonus, you can put which ever turrets you have the most skills for/prefer. So I chose some Arties. The remote rep is for your when your drones too take armor damage, its mostly a time saver.
For the mids, if you're not cap stable with your reps going (reps only, not reps + AB), then drop the drone link augmenter for another cap recharge. Hopefully that'll do it for you.
For the lows, I serpentis tanked this, so just change out the harnders to which ever ones you need.
And for the drones, with 75 bw, your most damaging flight is 2 heavies, 2 mediums, and a light drone. you'll prob want a full fight of just light drones in back up tho for those elite frigs.
Hope this helps some. (also, don't get frustrated waiting for skills, it happens)

The setups that you got advised are not bad, find one that suits you. Look for a software called EVEHQ, it allows you to simulate fittings and see your statistics and whether you can fit a setup or not.
In regards of your skills, train the following skills as soon as possible at level 3, recommended at 4: Drone Interfacing Drone Durability Drone Sharpshooting Gallente Drone Specialization Heavy Drones
Em Armor Compensation Kinetic Armor Compensation Explosive Armor Compensation Thermal Armor Compensation
Hull Upgrades to V
Repair Systems to IV to be able to use Tech 2 armor repairers
Energy systems Operation Energy Management
Then you will have to train Gunnery support skills, but first train the mentioned above! They are must
Good luck

Thank you all for your replies, they have been a great help. I'll download that software now and I'll work on those skills too.
Just wondering will those skills you recommended help me with PvP too? [that's my long term goal]

I recommend tech 2 autocannons for the following reasons: -Minmatar are overpowered when it comes to solo/small gang -Autocannons are often used on PVP Myrm fits -It's a turret weapon system, so many skills carry over to other turrets

Yes, those skills will greatly help you in both PVP / PVE (missions/ratting), they give you better energy management, drones support skills, and heavy drones will help you to do more damage to bigger rats.
The plan is that you improve your drones and armor skills before training any gunnery skill. Go for hybrids, it would be a waste training for autocannons since they are minmatar alike.
Hybrids are just fine because you get bonus from your gallente ships. If you need further help you can contact me in-game.
