After the patch I noticed some modules go offline when I switch ships sometimes, is this supposed to happen?

I can confirm something similar to this when I use "fit to ship" and modules will go offline even if there is no fitting issues Signature removed, please no ASCII art. Zymurgist |

Confirmed, it offlines 3-4 launchers on my Tengu on every ship change. Frustrating really. Cleaned cache and problem still going on. CCPs patch working as intended i guess.

Edited by: Valcotera on 01/09/2011 17:26:22 same here, some modules going offline.
Same fit I used yesterday is no longer available because of CPU issue.
Keep up the good work!
actually, after a quick it seems it's about the large shield extender, their power consumption is above the expected. from eft it should be 124.1MW and when I check ingame it is 132MW.

Edited by: Io Triumphe on 01/09/2011 17:53:12 In another thread in general discussions CCP admits this is a known issue and says it is being investigated. It was also pointed out in the same thread that this issue was known on test server for months.
Excelence!
Check your fit every time you swap ships and pay close atention to high powerslot items.
We get no session change timer when changing ships but have to refit.
Is this part of their anti-bot program?

almost lost my trusty Myrm to this thing. both shield hardeners were offline. Went to 20% shield before I noticed. Nice going with these patches.

Edited by: Khavaltre on 01/09/2011 20:15:03 Edited by: Khavaltre on 01/09/2011 20:14:22 In my drake I get 4-5 mid slots going off line any time I change ships to it. The probalem does not occur on any other ships I hop into.
As a side note, I've observed that the problem only seems to happene between my Noctis and my Drake, so it may be something to do with the number of slots available on the ship you've swapped from (Nocits has 2 mid slots, Drake has 6, and the slots that go offline everytime are numbers 3, 4, 5 and 6). Anyone else notice this?

Confirmed - modules randomly go offline when switching ships and you have to open the fitting window to make sure/fix.

dont ban me for the copy from a GM. But ppl should know it.
Hi,
There is currently an issue that causes modules to go offline if you switch ships in station. A workaround for this issue is to switch out of your desired ship, wait a couple of minutes and then switch back to the ship you wish to use. Please note you may need to wait an additional 30 seconds before undocking, just as if the session change timer were still affecting switching ships. The modules should then stay online when you put them online again.
Best Regards,
GM Lovakat,
EVE Customer Support.

So they remove 30 sec change timer, and now we have to wait few minutes!!! so modules are not offline? How about instead of waiting few minutes, i change ships now and online the modules in 5-10 seconds? WTF are they doing...

Now they introduced 1 thing and they screw that up. 100% success on fail part.
sign, ccp should stop having girls as crew members, i think the new girls inside CCP are not good for them....
each patch / update since Incarna goes more and more crazy.

This!!@!
Awesome new game feature that allows you to not have all your modules active when undocking. I wish this had been thought of years ago... it has been many frustrating years of having all modules active when going in to combat. I can only say thank you sooo much for this long awaited game feature.
Keep up the great work!!
Sarcastic Rikki signing off.

Any word on when a fix for this will be in? Makes the game pretty hard to play in hostile low/null sec space.

After swapping from Noctis to Raven, noticed one of my hardeners was offline.
This is after client patch #2, which was supposed to fix the issue.
This has been happening on SiSi for months. So its been a known issue for a long time. While I appreciate the quick client update to patch it, CCP, you might want to make sure your next fix actually fixes the problem before you go releasing it.
On the plus side, at least the fix didn't break anything else.

No change sill goes offline .... does CCP works anything about stupid errors what them make with every patch? I think they only gets our time and money. In right word meaning the stealing describes ******ed politics of CCP ....
EVE now looks like noobie development alpha project, no professional at all.

Just had ALL the modules on my Viator go offline.
And yes the patch did break something else. Have yet to see anyone post about Cargo warnings on their ships fit with cargo expanders.
