Hello all. Forgive me if I'm beating a dead horse, but CCP had originally stated that they intended for the disabling of CQ to be a temporary fix, and that the option would eventually be removed.
Has there been any change on this stance, or announcement of any fixes for those of us who have older machines or run multiple accounts?

CQ is awesome and you shouldn't want to disable it.
That is the official stance.

Quote: Unknown Submitter> A large number of EVE players do not like to leave their ship every time they dock. Some have computer hardware issues running several clients, some find it extremely immersion breaking and completely against EVE lore, and some would just rather abstain from Incarna alltogether. The return of the old ship hanger or some version of it with a disembark button would make all those people happy. When does CCP plan to do it?
Response> No, we don't have any plans for that. Incarna is essentially an addition that is central to the future of EVE.

How long CQ will remain optional is an open question, but hopefully the option to turn it off will be around for at least a year, unless CCP wants to start losing players who regularly run multiple docked accounts.

It wouldn't surprise me to satisfy people who want a "load CQ" button they'll just load the Nex store every time you dock and have a button to load CQ if you don't want Nex.

There should be an option to disable CQ as long as it adds nothing to the gameplay like it is right now. At the moment CQ is nothing but a pretty room with you char in it to look at for five minutes and then turn it off. |

My issue with CQ is it's hard to turn on.
It is off by default because i don't need or want it 99% of the time because i just dock for ammo or a quick refit.
if I wnat ot use it i need to use the esc menu and then undock and redock....it is dumb.
When you dock it should be an option to disembark.

EvE is not growing..it is stagnant.... No mmo has ever gone stagnant for 6 months and gone on to grow in subs. ______ Hello WoW players. Look at your toon, now back to me. Sadly it isn't me, but if it wasn't simplistic pre scripted linear mono dimensional game you could look like me. I'm in a Paladin |

<-- 27 accounts that will become unsubscribed if and when they make CQ mandatory. Even if there is functionality in CQ that is necessary for future stuff it doesn't matter, there should still be a go between where you can either see a stock image (current) or where you can SPIN your ship prior to exiting into CQ. The programming for this would be so simple it's ******ed. Just do it and remove half the damn forum whines.

The official stance is that CCP employees need $1,000 pants. The CQ is their means to do just that. In doing so the players will ultimately enjoy the freedom that the CQ allows them to have. CCP understands that there are some players who don't understand why $1,000 pants are important. However, once WiS is released in all of its glory the devs can show off their pants and then everyone will understand.
Does that help?

The hangar is dead. CQ killed it. Murder most foul....because CCP wants us to buy pants.
