Great news about the session timer being discarded when doing a quick ship change at in a station!
It seems not all good - now you will need to check that hi slot mods are online before undocking. Ive only found it to be an issue when expiditing the docking, changing ship and undocking process. Ive not noticed it on the mids or lows yet.
So opening the fitting window and onlining mods still takes time - maybe a couple of seconds less.

You seem to have missed the point here. Are you really pleased that CCP have removed a "feature" in the undocking procedure that took 30 seconds to run and instead introduced a bug that requires you to spend 5 seconds making sure everything is in order after you undock? Seems to me that you are easily pleased.

What about the people who have to refit their ships? There have been reports of people who change ships whiled docked losing all their fittings. That will definitely take longer than 30 seconds to fix.

Yeah I just did a rapid switch between my machs and had a 1400 arty offline just now. However it took about 10-12 rapid switches to make 1 mod offline, so it's not as bad as it was.
EDIT: Interesting. I did a bunch more switches, and the same arty on the same mach offlined again. No other mods on any of my other ships did.
EDIT2: Yep, I can make it do it every time. I think that specific arty was offline when I logged in, so the bug appears to relate to onlining mods that were offline.

Sounds like a variation on the same PG/CPU check bug.

ATM the hypothesis is that it seems to be related to energy grid modules like power diagnostics and MAPCs.

Originally by: Malcanis Just relogged and looked at that ship. The arty is offline again even though I didn't switch ship at all. It offlines every time I leave the ship, even if I do it slowly. I've tried unfitting and refitting the guns, but there is one 1400 still offline every time I re-enter the ship.
Might want to try doing the same thing with a spacier fit, fit a rack of 720mm's instead and flip back and forth - making sure skills are not remotely relevant for keeping the modules online. Parrots, commence!

I randomly checked my setup before uundocking and half my high slots were offline.
I just thoguht it was me, but this was last night after the patch could have been a fancy new bug.
Reminds me of the bug when you could clone jump from a ship in the station, when you come back to it some mods are offline.

Check the other thread - the bug is confirmed to relate to low slot mods which give grid (Power Diags, RCUs, MAPCs)

You know if it was only a matter of putting modules back online I don't think people would be so irate. Hell I wouldn't be worried if that were all there was too it I'd just be sure to check my fit before undocking.
But with charges poofing this starts to become a real game breaking problem. What happens when you hop in your Abaddon and your Scorch crystals all poof? Those things are 3 mil a pop so you're looking at 24mil isk poofed into the ether.
That's a Battle-cruiser hull worth of ISK that just disappeared.
Clue, trying getting one.

If I understand what Tuxford is saying in the other thread, you can temporarily "fix" this yourselves.
If your ship has a module relating to grid then fit that first. If the ship is already fitted, strip and refit putting grid (and cpu) boosting modules on first.
That (AIUI) should prevent modules going offline when you leave the ship - however if you have grid rigs fitted it may not depending on the order you fitted the ship.
I may have completely misunderstood what Tuxford is saying of course.

They can just be onlined. No need to strip fittings and refit. At least thats all I have to do when it happens.

I know but there's the chance they will offline again. AIUI if you strip/refit with cpu/grid first then they shouldn't offline again/as often.

Confirming this is happening in both Mid and low slots also, had to reactivate an AB on my Domi and also a HS on my retribution yesterday, no hi slot probs yet but looks like its happening there also... also noticed that hardeners were not working for me last night, it showed them online and the fitting tool showed the resits up but no difference between them being on and off.

This is new.
Just logged off in space and when I logged back in a few minutes later, most of my mid and low modules were offlined.
This is _after_ this morning's patch to fix 1.1's station offline problem.

in which case I refer you to Tuxford's thread where he's been tracking specific issues regarding certain modules causing it and being in certain places or states when it happens
