Edited by: Vim on 02/09/2011 16:33:57 Hello CCP, I've just spotted this tremendously nice site you've just made: http://evewho.com/
And I realy like it. I like it even more since I can: http://evewho.com/corp/Reikoku
(see all the members of any corporation in eve.)
I think this is a marvelous change, moving us forward, keeping fewer things hidden is always good.
/V
edit: Yes, there are probably some dataminers out there already doing this so good to level the playing field since the data is out there.

If it was CCP-made, I would have assumed that they'd actually list all corp members, not just the ones you can mine from killboards and corp descriptions. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡ you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki

Very nice little tool there. Mad props to the developer! I am very interested to see what else they do with it as it develops!

Hey Squizz...
Great site! Care to share any future plans you have for it?
Question: Any chance of linking the kills to BattleClinic? I don't know if there are issues there or what, but the Eve-Kill.net site is not as complete and current on their kill mail history as BattleClinic.

Why is there so much information available out of game that isn't available in game?

Cause out of game we aggregate information together, ingame they dont.

Future plans include: - Showing all members that were ever in a corp - Showing members that were in a corp at a particular time (e.g. Who was in Eve University on Aug. 24th, 2010 at 10:52am) - Create an API for folks to use - Further integration with EveKill <3 - A nifty graph that shows relative corp employment lengths (Xaarous' idea!) - More as I/you get ideas
I haven't linked to BC because they haven't shared information with me. EveKill (Karbowiak!) happily shares information, so I happily give them a link. Plus the EveKill guys are lots of fun to work with! -- Eve Who EveChatter KillWhore Killboard |

Fair enough on the EveKill link. I would request you consider just linking to the BattleClinic KB, even if they don't share with you. The only reason is because their history is very complete and it makes your tool more of a one stop shop. For instance, if I wanted to find out about a guy while flying in LOW, I can pull him on your site and see his history! Then, I have to pull up BattleClinic's site to find out his true combat history. If you had the simple link, it would make doing all of that much easier.
If you are using that as leverage with the BC guys to let you access their data, then I get that too.
Nice site nonetheless. Like the plans. Definitely added to my favorite's list!

There really is no leverage that works on the Battleclinic dudes. They simply dont share, period.
I mean, ****, just look at how many hoops you have to go through, to get a raw mail.
anyway, this is for a CCP run service called EVEWho, not BC vs EVEKILL.

I notice the % done goes up a little each time I do a refresh. At the rate its increasing, it will be done in about a week. I assume it will then do update passes, keeping everything up to date to within about a week.
Also the number of pilots, corps and alliances updates when I do a refresh.
Nice, very nice.
I'd really like this to go faster, but writing to the employment history table can take up substantial database resources which I'd rather leave allocated for this site and others I run on the same server. By default the database is written to only when necessary, this keeps things very fast. However, this is inserting a lot of data, so I have it rate limited.
As it is, there is a preference to fetching employment history for folks already in a non-npc corporation, but that's just a preference. There are two sets of scripts working to populate the employment history data, one has the preference, the other does not.
In 24 hours approximately 11% has been populated, so your week estimate is right on the money! :) -- Eve Who EveChatter KillWhore Killboard |

Any possibility you could point this to Battle Clinic since EVE-Kill lost 90% of their kill history?

don't know dude, but when i do a search on a corp, it's only showing active subbed accounts, well it is for me anyway.
if this isn't how it should be, it's a nice side effect

Us having "lost" 90% of our kill history, has no effect on being able to show stats for pilots, corps or alliances. That said, have a look out for a new blog in the coming days, stuff is starting to move forward at a faster pace than before
