@CCP Stillman Is there a reason why the API is returning as data for that specific xml element, only the solar system of a character's whereabouts, instead of the station the character is docked in (as it where till the last patch) ?

Maybe I have to rephrase my question to get an answer.
Why <lastKnownLocation> in private CharacterInfo call returns only the solar system and not the station when a character is docked in one?

I think it is because Incarna changed the way characteres are handled when inside stations on the database.

I don't think that's the case Krathos. The change took place with Incarna 1.1 and the application of the CAK system. Most likely CCP Stillman deprecated the part of the code that returned the "docked in station" info. After all EVE client still shows that info.

I'm thinking about the changes that made possible to switch ships without timers, but it doesn't matter, only devs can tell, I can only speculate.

Exactly my point and that's why I want an official response. But it looks like they are too busy even to write a line.

I've had mixed results with this, some characters return only the system name, others return the full station/system name.

I wonder if you leave the station and dock again if it clears up. Might be worth a try. |
