hi, im currently returning to the game and starting a new toon. once again on this toon id like to run lvl 4 missions to make a profit and to prep combat skills..
for this new too id like to stay under battleship class ships.. i was looking at the loki that i could get into fairly soon and al wondering if it could handle a lvl 4 (looks a wee bit fragile..) or if there any other ships you could point me in the direction of.
any advice and fits are very apreciated, thank you very much for your time

Depending on where your BC skills are, you might be able to get into a Sleipner in a reasonable amount of time and in many ways, it's a bit better in a PVE setting than the Loki all while being more cost effective. Along the way, you'd work BC up to 5 making you Godly in a Hurricane and the Sleip itself is quite a beastly boat in its own right. _____________________________________ Join our public channel "Ninja Dojo" Recruiting is now: INVITE ONLY Visit our Forum |

Confirming Sleipnir is the sub BS mission boat of choice.

it is 97 days (no gunnery no tank skills) for a sleipnir. think its be a smarter idea just to say (bad words little children should read) the sub BS plan and get a maelstrom/upgrade into a vargur? i heard the vargur can be a monster for missions
1 thing is for certain tho.. im staying minmatar pure,
would you go for a marauder as money maker? or try to stay sub BS anyway?
apreciate the insight Fallen

Having tried Paladin and Golem, I assume Vargur is as good as those two, seeing all the comments on battleclinic and EVEO forums.
From that, Vargur is a good choice if you plan to make good profit from missions when it comes to ISK/hour, but I wouldn't dismiss Tempest Fleet Issue.
However, some people say it's all about blitzing missions whenever you can, just kill the BS and highest cruisers, loot the can if possible / kill specific rat and be done with it to get best LP/hour. I agree with this, and after using the Golem for a while I have started using a rather well equipped Tengu and my experience is definitely better. The ability to use AB while having enough tank and having heavy missiles that have awesome range and on top of all that maintaining great dps with my skills and implants - priceless. Not sure about the Minmatar T3 - Loki.
Good thing is to go to battleclinic loadouts page and browse the fits and read comments.
I am sure you will find great information with stats there.

i was looking at the vargur on battlecinic fits and it can get up to 1300 dps (prolly with guns all 5 but meh) whats intresting tho is i found http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/48369-Loki-PvE-LV4-CR.html looks like a nice fit and like 1/2 the time it would take me to get a vargur/sleipnir.. i might try running that until i can get into a sliepnir =) ty all for ur opinion, still willing to listen to any input on the subject tho

Just get a Maelstrom.
It's almost as hard hitting as a marauder, does not take months to train for and is relatively cheap to replace if you screw up.

I can confirm: Maelstrom works just fine.
Personally I prefer a mwd and a heavy cap booster over that tracking computer and shield amp for the ac fitting. Why a forum in the year 2011 still has no automatic double post merge which can be done even with javascript mostly is beyond my understanding. |
