I'm not the usual type to fall for a good scam. However this one caught me with both my hands behind my back.
So I saw this contract for 800m, and I could quickly see that it's content were worth 1.2b sold directly to buy orders. I didn't have 800m liquid cash so I sold my Charon to buy this. However right after that all the buy orders were expired/gone/whatever. So GG, I got owned.
Sometimes you can strike a good deal when dealing in contracts, sometimes it's just poo. If there's a good time to quit game, it gotta be now :P.
Heads up.

So basicly what happens, is that the person puts up a buy order with what money than the owner has. Then when someone is trying to sell, they get expired?
Quite clever I'd say..

You're still a fool.

When in doubt check market history. I saw one yesterday with a tag purported to sell for 380M. Market history showed that tag rarely ever sold and when it did for around 2,000 isk. It was also pretty obviously a scam since the 380M buy order was the only one offering to buy the item, was in an dead station to avoid being in range of any sell orders and was orders of magnitude larger than any other order on the market. Nobodies lazy enough to post a 380M buy order when they could fly a handful of jumps and get the tag for 50,000.
Always when buying something for resale in Eve you need to make sure that the item is worth what the seller claims and that you'll be able to move it. You should also be aware they can do some minor manipulation of the current orders but the history never lies. A minute using the market window is usually plenty of time to get that information.
