Edited by: Katiana Swan on 04/09/2011 15:45:35 Hello all,
I started my second public offering in December 2009. Real life took over and unfortunately my Eve time went to zero from around Jan 2010 to Present.
The account was subscribed but unused for some 4 months. I apologize to all of my investors for this extremely long delay.
Here was my original offering:
http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1232829
Anyway, my brother in law got back into Eve and convinced me to come back. On return I realized where I had left off. Interestingly I had left with a decent set of orders on 'arbalest cruise/heavy/siege launchers and on my return I was pleased to see they had doubled in value.
The suitably named expansion short for "Better Late Than Never" is more of an expansion of my life to include some Eve time. I have no intention of taking any more funds from my investors but I do intend on getting them at the absolute least back to even and then some.
At the start of the week I tried my hand at mission running and realised how lacking my skills were (attempted level 4's). After the loss of an apoc and a battlecruiser I decided to stick with what I seem quite good at, which is trading. During my time offline a pile of t2 ship buy orders had been filled at quite good margins so I decided to invest in an Obelisk to ferry the goods back into Jita for sale.
At this point I have a fair bit of work ahead of me.I first need to get back to my initial NAV of 3b (or 1.8b if not counting the value of Shima Kai (purchased char for IPO)).
Breakdown of current financial standing as of right now:
NAV Shima Kai - 1,200m Sellable Assets Katiana - 90m Sellable Assets Shima - 5m Cash Corporation - 240m Obelisk Shima - 797m Sell Orders Katiana - 31m Sell Orders Shima - 145m Corporate Assets - 6m
Total Corporate NAV - 2514m
I am disappointed that I am 500m in the hole and not entirely sure where this deficit has occured. When I came back into Eve at the start of the week I did dabble in planets before realising how unprofitable they were. As above, I also lost a couple of ships in missions. I put some cash into poker to try and turn a quick profit but came out around even or just under. I also had some losses on some of my older trades and some ships/items purchased out in lowsec that needed to be sold lower than market average.
When I returned to Eve at the start of this week I figured I would mess around for a month and then probably throw in the towel however I think my passion has returned for the game so I will give it a second chance.
From this point on I will get back into accurate reporting and careful tracking of funds and move NAV back to 3b where it belongs.
Every fortnight I will post my current Net Asset Value. Once I have reached the 3b on the following fortnight I will pay dividends on anything beyond 3b. If I do feel like throwing it in I will post here for someone to take over the corporation. If this fails to produce results I will contract everything across to my largest investor "Paris Rothschild".
I apologize once more for any hardship or frustration I may have caused any of my investors. It was never my intention to defraud anyone and I have no future intention of expansion in a financial sense.

Welcome back!
Funny thing was I sold my shares in Ship-Rep just before you disappeared hmmmm'
Btw I am probably leaving game now. Actually, send me a mail if you would like to borrow some isk, I might as well let you use them to get on top of your game again. ----------------------- "Signatures" trade chatroom |

Honestly, I am intriqued by the service you are offering. I have quite a bit of isk I am doing nothing with. Wouldn't mind investing in this to both entertain the idea, as well as let you get back up on your feet.
This is quite honestly a nice looking service. Especially at times of wardecs when corporation don't have alternative methods of transporting their things.
Feel free to eve mail me if you are opening up some shares. ---------------------------------- Biomass is free (of) Eve4life! |

Until you pay out your first offering this should be treated as a SCAM!
I can say that as I still hold shares (on an alt) in your original IPO and I sure as hell haven't been paid any ISK for them!
So pay up or STFU scammer!

Bit harsh but I will take it. I expected more posts like yours actually and am quite surprised at the different tone others have expressed.
My initial offering MQP paid out without any issues in full. Based on the old thread it appears I have paid out 296,400,251 or an almost 10% return on investment. Obviously this is pitiful for an 18 month hiatus. The point of this post was that you have been paid some isk for the shares you have. If they are MQP you earnt well over 130% ROI and if it's MQP it's closer to 10%.

First off, Welcome back.
Not really a gripe, as I pretty much wrote off those shares as gone long ago, but surely, the proper thing would not be to hand over everything to the majority shareholder as a liquidation plan, but rather, find if someone is willing to liquidate your assets (should you not be bothered to do-so) and then make a final payment to all shareholders ?
This sort of thing pretty much reduces the resell value of your shares to 0, as at any point in time that you decide to take another hiatus - that's what they are worth. (unless you are the majority share holder)
I'm sure you'd fine a few willing to do this sort of thing.. Raw and Breaker come to mind.

Hi, as per above I stated I would find someone here first and if for some reason I couldn't find anyone to take control and handle it I would (only at that point) send to the major shareholder for distribution. I contacted Cista2 a few hours ago with a potential fallback plan, he/she seems to be of decent reputation within the community and is another name I remember from the old days of MD.
Quote: as at any point in time that you decide to take another hiatus - that's what they are worth.
I have no intention of giving it in or going on extended hiatus again, I simply want to put in place safe guards for if this were to happen again rather than leaving everyone in the lurch again.

As long as the shareholders are ok with it I have no problem. In fact I don't mind Raw or Breaker bringing an alt into the corporation as a director to have the ability to take over if I were to leave. If they have a spare slot (or another person in a position of community trust) this sounds like a great idea.

I am sure I'd be fine with this, however I'm still sour on the fact your initial IPO wasn't paid in full.

Good to see you back. I can't even remember how much i had invested, but it would be nice to get a little payout. We've waited long enough so no rush :P
Good luck
